‘This is the final straw’: Musk reacts to DOJ’s news that Epstein didn’t have a client list or blackmail tapes

Public outcry ensued as a report revealed the Justice Department’s conclusion that infamous sex offender Jeffrey Epstein didn’t have a “client list.”

“Oh look, it’s no-one-has-been-arrested-o’clock again …”

Efforts at restoring trust in institutions took a sharp turn off a cliff Sunday as a memo from the DOJ and FBI was published that appeared to contradict earlier statements from Attorney General Pam Bondi. While the country’s top cop had previously claimed the list was “on my desk right now to review,” the memo declared there is no “incriminating ‘client list,'” leading figures like Elon Musk to declare, “This is the final straw.”

Initially reported by Axios, a memo from the DOJ and FBI contended an “exhaustive review of investigative holdings relating to Jeffrey Epstein” included digital searches throughout the bureau of “its databases, hard drives, and network drives as well as physical searches of squad areas, locked cabinets, desks, closets, and other areas where responsive material may have been stored.”

Having uncovered “more than 300 gigabytes of data and physical evidence,” the DOJ maintained that while there was a “large volume of images of Epstein, images and videos of victims who are either minors or appear to be minors, and over ten thousand downloaded videos and images of illegal child sex abuse material and other pornography,” the review did not reveal  an “incriminating ‘client list.'”

“There was also no credible evidence found that Epstein blackmailed prominent individuals as part of his actions. We did not uncover evidence that could predicate an investigation against uncharged third parties,” claimed the memo that determined “no further disclosure would be appropriate or warranted” and reaffirmed the FBI’s position that Epstein had committed suicide in his cell.

While FBI Director Kash Patel and Deputy Director Dan Bongino had stated as much regarding the suicide based on their own review of the available evidence, the information announcing there would be no long-awaited exposure of a client list was the latest, and seemingly most egregious, in a series of disclosures from the DOJ that had previously included handing out binders to social media influencers labeled “The Epstein Files: Phase 1.”

On the heels of launching his own political party, the America Party, after a sense of betrayal from the GOP over the passage of the One Big Beautiful Bill, he argued ran counter to the efforts of the Department of Government Efficiency and campaign promises to cut waste, fraud and abuse, Musk was among those fired up with a new sense of betrayal that promises were not being kept and a dog and pony show had been perpetrated on the American people.

“What’s the time? Oh look, it’s no-one-has-been-arrested-0’clock again,” stated the world’s richest man who responded to a suggestion that “if there were any evidence either side could use against the other it would be plastered all over everything,” by contending, “Unless both sides were guilty,” as he also announced, “This is the final straw.”
