Video of one North Philadelphia business owner’s solution to rising crime is circulating on Twitter and it’s getting people talking.
FOX 29’s Jason Martinez posted the clip, in which armed men clad in vests, black clothing, and what appears to be body cameras, are patrolling the area. He asked whether this makes people feel safer, or more uncomfortable.
Watch:
A North Philly owner says he’s had enough violent crime at his gas station so he’s hired these guys to protect his customers and store.

Twitter users were quick to voice their opinions on the increased security:
Criminals make me feel less safe, deploy these guys City wide. https://t.co/n4LdpBUc3n

People are always screeching, “Somebody DO something!” Welp. Somebody did.
“Does this make you feel safer?”
Safety is only a feeling. What this owner is trying to create is tangible security. If no one else will do it, I applaud him for not remaining a victim of criminals.— Joel (@joelgaines) December 6, 2022
I’m seeing guys who don’t appear to know how to secure the area? Or for that matter, which weapons/gear are the most suitable for the situation?
Basically, you can tell when someone’s a security pro and when they’re just guys holding guns to look intimidating.

This is what blue cities have come to. This is what they voted for…

If I lived there, it would be my favorite choice. The “defund police” banter & woke culture has neutered the police force. Private security is fine by me.

As someone who recently moved away from Philly (with the increase in violent crime being one of the main reasons), I believe this is not only justified, but is absolutely the solution.
None of this stops until we say it does.#TakeHumanAction
