It seems the newest branch of a nation’s armed forces is on track to join the rest of the military as the subject of mockery.
The U.S. Space Force is the latest to be slammed for making the once-mighty military a global “laughingstock” after a resurfaced video showed a transgender lieutenant colonel asserting that inclusivity is a “national security imperative.”
According to the Libs of TikTok account on X, the person commenting is “just promoted” Space Force Lt. Colonel Bree Fram. The event Fram was speaking at appears to be Fortune’s annual Most Powerful Women Summit which took place in California in October.
“The world is laughing at us,” the X account noted, sharing the video clip.

“One of the biggest barriers that is out there are the stereotypes of who trans people are, and who trans people in the military are,” Fram said.
“We’re not monsters, we’re serving for the same reasons as anyone else,” the Lt. colonel added.
This is Space Force Lt. Colonel Bree Fram. He was just promoted. He spends more time talking about transgenderism than his job. He thinks trans inclusion is a matter of national security. We have become a laughingstock. pic.twitter.com/0zuQ7uBxkX

“Lt Col Bree Fram is an active duty US Space Force astronautical engineer. Bree is also the President of SPARTA, an organization that advocates and educates about transgender military service and is dedicated to the support and professional development of transgender troops,” Amazon’s bio of Fram reads.
“Bree came out as transgender on the day the transgender military ban was dropped in 2016. She’s now one of the highest ranking transgender officers in the US military and is currently assigned to the Pentagon,” the bio continues. “Bree served in command at the squadron level, led security cooperation activity with Iraq, and she was a program manager for satellite and technology programs. Bree deployed to Qatar and Iraq as part of Operation Iraqi Freedom.”
The author also is listed as being “married for 17 years and has two girls, aged 13 and 9.”
Fram shared news of the promotion on social media in October.
“I hope the awe and wonder of this opportunity never fades. Thank you to the Space Force and everyone who trusts in my ability to serve, grow, and lead in a higher grade,” Fram wrote in the post on X.
Today, I was selected for promotion. I hope the awe and wonder of this opportunity never fades. Thank you to the Space Force and everyone who trusts in my ability to serve, grow, and lead in a higher grade. The incessant beating of the inclusivity drum set off a wave of angry reactions on the social media platform when the video of Fram’s comments popped up in the last few days.
Inclusion is a matter of national security? This is not a serious statement.

The only thing that matters is combat readiness.
Inclusion does not factor in. Nobody on the beaches of Normandy was worried about anyone misgendering them.

Military focus should be on combat readiness and mission-critical skills, not social politics.

Trans are “exempt” from any combat active duty. All those drugs and surgeries free with generous time off from work.

While Lt. Col. Bree Fram celebrates his promotion, it’s hard to ignore his misplaced focus on transgenderism rather than his duties. Is this what Space Force leadership looks like?

A preoccupation with your feelings in a combat situation is what boot camp is supposed to drill out of you! It adds no value to the team relying on you to carry your weight.

Our military should be laser focused on two things, defending us from being killed, and getting better at killing. Anything that doesn’t serve that purpose is wasteful and makes us more vulnerable.
