Trump and Team MAGA are coming for turncoat Indiana Republicans

President Donald J. Trump expressed his disappointment with Indiana GOP Senate leader Rod Bray after Hoosier State Republicans sank an effort to redraw congressional maps to give their party two more House seats before next year’s critical midterm elections.

On Thursday, Bray and his gang of turncoats joined their Democrat friends to sink a Trump-backed redistricting bill 31-19, with 21 members of the majority party voting “no” in a major blow to efforts to offset blue state gerrymandering that could flip the House back to Democrats who are chafing at the bit to impeach the president and top members of his administration.

When asked for his reaction to the vote by a reporter in the Oval Office after it went down, Trump unloaded on Bray, noting that he won the state by a significant margin in the last three elections and said that he will be backing a primary challenger.

“It’s funny because I won Indiana all three times by a landslide, and I wasn’t working on it very hard. Would’ve been nice. I think we would’ve picked up two seats if we did that,” the president responded.

“And you had one gentleman, the head of the Senate, I guess, Bray, whatever his name is. I heard he was against it. He’ll probably lose his next primary, whenever that is. I hope he does, because he’s done a tremendous disservice,” Trump added, pointing out the fact that the Democrats are actively engaged in putting their thumbs on the scale for the midterms, particularly in California, where Gov. Gavin Newsom was just successful in further consolidating power in the hands of his party with the passage of Prop 50.

“But there’s a man named Bray, I guess, head of the Senate, was that Bray?” Trump said, “Is that the name? Bray? And I mean, I’m sure that whenever his primary is, it’s I think in two years, but I’m sure he’ll go down. He’ll go down. I’ll certainly support anybody that wants to go against him.”

Trump wasn’t the only one lashing out at Bray over his sneaky sabotage.

“Rod Bray, the Senate leader in Indiana, has consistently told us he wouldn’t fight redistricting while simultaneously whipping his members against it. That level of dishonesty cannot be rewarded, and the Indiana GOP needs to choose a side,” Vice President JD Vance wrote in a post to X.

“The Democrat party has been engaged in a vast far-reaching scheme to displace and disenfranchise Republican voters and their families through mass voter importation. And yet there are Republican lawmakers who eagerly facilitate the disinheritance of their own children,” said White House Deputy Chief of Staff for Policy Stephen Miller.

MAGA served notice that they’re coming for the 21 traitors.

One Indiana Republican who didn’t defect gave a fiery defense of the proposed map, which would have given the party a dominating 9-0 advantage.

“Some will say these maps are political. Let me be clear: You’re DAMN RIGHT they are… Safe streets are political. Affordable electricity is political. A drug-free Indiana is political. Peace in the Middle East is political… We’re not here to be neutral arbiters of decline. We’re here to be agents of American greatness,” Indiana Senate Majority Leader Chris Garten said in a speech.

“‘Indiana Senate ‘Leader’ Rod Bray enjoys being the only person in the United States of America who is against Republicans picking up extra seats, in Indiana’s case, two of them. He is putting every ounce of his limited strength into asking his soon to be very vulnerable friends to vote with him. By doing so, he is putting the Majority in the House of Representatives, Washington, D.C., at risk and, at the same time, putting anybody in Indiana who votes against this Redistricting, likewise, at risk,” Trump wrote in a Wednesday post to Truth Social before Bray and his gang of mutineers handed the seats to the Democrats.
