President Donald J. Trump took to Truth Social Friday morning to announce that a “final determination” is now underway to secure peace deal with Iran, while reiterating nonnegotiable demands the Persian Gulf country must agree to.
“Iran must agree that they will never have a Nuclear Weapon or Bomb. The Hormuz Strait must be immediately open, no tolls, for unrestricted shipping traffic, in both directions,” Trump wrote. “All water mines (bombs), if any, will be terminated (we have removed, through detonation, numerous such mines with our great underwater mine sweepers. Iran will complete the immediate removal and/or detonation of any mines that are left, which will not be many!).”
The president also said the U.S. blockade of Iranian ports will be lifted, and addressed the issue of Iran’s enriched uranium stockpile while stressing that no cash will be exchanged.
“Ships caught in the Strait due to our amazing and unprecedented Naval Blockade, which will now be lifted, may start the process of ‘heading home!’ Say HELLO to your wives, husbands, parents, and families from me, your favorite President!” Trump said. “The enriched material, sometimes referred to as ‘Nuclear Dust,’ which is buried deep underground with virtually collapsed mountains, caused by our powerful B2 Bomber attack 11 months ago, sitting on top of it, will be unearthed by the United States (which, it is agreed, is the only Country, along with China, with the mechanical capability of doing so!), in close coordination and conjunction with the Islamic Republic of Iran, plus the International Atomic Energy Agency, and DESTROYED.
“No money will be exchanged, until further notice. Other items, of far less importance, have been agreed to. I will be meeting now, in the Situation Room, to make a final determination.”
The response on social media was not promising, as users denounced a negotiated deal with “terrorists,” pointing out that Iran will never live up to its end of the bargain.
Here’s a quick sampling of responses to the story, as seen on X:
This is not enough! A non-nuclear Iran is still a very dangerous Iran! This evil regime must be defeated. They must have no ability to make war. You cannot negotiate a deal with 10 if there are 10,000 who will not agree. If not defeated they are emboldened. They will innovate…

Blockade lifted before you get uranium is a huge mistake.

Wow, it’s a big mistake to lift the blockade before getting the nuclear material. That’s the ONLY leverage you have since you refuse to continue bombing. Iran will never comply regardless of what they say or sign.
Dumb, just dumb.

Any agreement with the Islamic Republic will fail.
The Islamic Republic has zero intention to follow through with any agreement.
As long as the Islamic Republic remains, Terrorism will spread globally.
There is NO negotiating with terrorists.
