Bruce Springsteen’s TDS was on full display during his Washington, D.C. show, where he announced an upcoming protest festival just ahead of November’s midterm elections.
The aging rocker told the crowd that a “Power to the People” festival, featuring Foo Fighters, Dave Matthews, Brittany Howard and Joan Baez, will be coming to the D.C. area in October and invited fans to “make a goddamn ruckus.”
Springsteen told concert-goers at Nationals Park that he and Rage Against The Machine’s Tom Morello will “be back again here in D.C. on Oct. 3 for another night of music and resistance.”
“The first-ever Power to the People Festival will be announced to the world tomorrow. But you’re hearing about it first, here, tonight!” he said during the second-to-last show of his “Land of Hope and Dreams” tour.

“If you’re feeling helpless, if you’re feeling hopeless, if you’re feeling betrayed, if you’re feeling frustrated, if you’re feeling angry, I understand. That’s why we’re here tonight. We needed to come to Washington and feel your strength and your hope and your faith.” he told the crowd.
“So many of our elected leaders have failed us that this American tragedy can only be stopped by the American people—you,” Springsteen continued. “There is no one coming to save us; we’ve got to do it ourselves. So join us and let’s fight for the America that we love.”
“Let them hear you at the f—ing White House, are you with us, Washington?!” he yelled.

According to its website, the Power To The People festival “is a celebration of peace, love, justice, music and community action.”
The one-day event to be held at Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia, Md., is about “the power everyday human beings have when they come together — through music, art, community and action — to shape our country and our planet on, and beyond, Election Day.”
A portion of ticket sale proceeds will be donated to the organizations VoteRiders and HeadCount.
While Springsteen succeeded in getting paying concert-goers to cheer on his Trump Derangement Syndrome, many on social media were clear that they are not fans.
Keepin’ it classy. As usual. He’s such a fvckin’ poser.

Springsteen feels relevant again so he’s going to keep hating on Trump.
I’m no longer a fan.

Imagine going to a concert and having a close to 80 year old Millionaire lecture you on politics the entire night.

I think Springsteen is borderline obsessed with Trump. Like dude you haven’t had a hit in 50 years. Maybe write something and get off your hate tour.
