Former President Donald Trump on Wednesday slammed socialite Kim Kardashian for allegedly lying about him.
A new book out by ABC’s Jonathan Karl, “Tired of Winning,” claims that when Kardashian reached out to Trump in the final days of his presidency to ask for more commutations of incarcerated inmates, he asked her for a favor in return.
“A source familiar with the conversations tells me Trump listened to her requests and demanded a straight-up quid pro quo. He would grant the commutations, he told Kardashian, if she leveraged her celebrity connections to get football stars who were friends of hers to come visit him at the White House,” Karl wrote, according to Axios.
“Kardashian actually tried to do what Trump demanded, seeing it as a small price to pay to get justice for people she believed were serving unjust sentences. But all the players she approached declined. Trump had become too toxic. In the final two weeks of his presidency, nobody wanted to be anywhere near him,” he added.
To say that Trump was angered by this bombshell would be an understatement. In a Truth Social statement published Wednesday, he slammed both Kardashian for allegedly lying about him and Karl for believing the alleged lies about him.
“Failed ABC Fake News reporter Jonathan Karl just wrote another bad book. He works sooo hard, but has sooo little talent – Some people have it, and some people don’t. In the ‘book’ he has the World’s most overrated celebrity, Kim Kardashian, supposedly telling me that she ‘would leverage her celebrity to get football stars to come to the White House,’ if I would commute the sentences of various prisoners. This story is Fake News in that she would be the last person I asked to get football players,” he wrote.
“I’ve had many teams, from all sports and leagues, in the White House. If there was even a slight reluctance, I would immediately withdraw the invitation, there would be NO Negotiation – But this did not happen often. I did help with prisoner commutation, but only if deserving, and much more so for Kanye West than for Kim, who probably voted for Crooked Joe Biden, and look at the mess our Country is in now. Many other false stories in Karl’s very boring book, but nothing worth mentioning!” he added.
In the same book, Karl also claims that when Kardashian reached out to Trump once more after the 2020 presidential election, he hung up on her out of anger.
“Hell no, the former president told her. He wouldn’t do it. ‘You voted for Biden and now you come asking me for a favor?’ Trump told her. Kardashian has never publicly said who she voted for in 2020, but after Biden was projected the winner, she posted a tweet of Biden and Vice President–elect Kamala Harris along with three blue hearts. … After a few more choice words, the line went dead. Trump had hung up on her,” he wrote.

Karl further claims that after Trump left office, he came to believe that he would one day soon be reinstated.
“Trump was talking about the idea a lot in private, worrying some of his advisers that he was actually starting to believe it. Even former Trump campaign lawyer Jenna Ellis, who recently pled guilty in Georgia for her part in trying to overturn the election felt the need to refute Trump’s reinstatement fantasy,” he revealed recently on ABC’s “This week.”
For some reason, Trump didn’t address the latter allegations in his Truth Social post. However, in a statement to Axios, a Trump spokesperson slammed the entire book as a fabrication.
“Disgraceful and talentless John Carl [SIC] is a back-bencher who could never get his own show for obvious reasons. Excerpts previously released from this ‘book’ have already been thoroughly debunked. This filth either belongs in the discount bargain bin in the fiction section of the bookstore or should be repurposed as toilet paper,” the spokesperson said.
Kardashian also hasn’t responded to either Karl’s reporting or Trump’s response. Instead, she’s been busy posing as a man for GQ …
“GQ magazine named reality star and entrepreneur Kim Kardashian its 2023 Man of the Year. More specifically, Tycoon of the Year with a nod to her business expertise, including a billion-dollar shapewear line that will be branching out into men’s wear,” according to UPI.
“In naming Kardashian, the magazine called her ‘the bar-setting reality star turned mega-mogul,'” UPI reported.
