Trump declares ‘mass deportations’ on day one, will give immunity and authority to cops to do it

Former President Donald Trump declared that on “day one” if he is re-elected he will begin “mass deportations” of those illegally in the U.S. and promised “immunity” for law enforcement.

The 2024 Republican frontrunner told Newsmax host Chris Salcedo on Monday that “local police” know who the “bad ones” are, referring to illegal migrants, and they will be protected as they do their jobs to “take them out” of the country.

“Given the fact that no foreign national has a right to be here in the United States, will you order mass deportations if you win the White House?” the host of “The Chris Salcedo Show” asked Trump on Monday.

“Oh, day one,” Trump confidently replied.

“We have no choice. And we’ll start with the bad ones. And you know who knows who they are: local police. Local police have to be given back their authority, and they have to be given back their respect and immunity. We’re going to give them immunity,” the former president added.

“And they know them by their first name, the middle name, and the last name, and they will take them out and they will, we will get about. And look, this is not sustainable by any country, even if they weren’t as bad as they are. This is not sustainable by any country,” he continued.

“We probably have, I think I heard your numbers, I think you probably have 15 million in actually, which is more than your numbers, and I think that number could reach 20 million people by the time this guy gets out,” he said, evidently referring to President Joe Biden and his tenure at the White House.

“Wow,” Salcedo reacted to the numbers.

“We have to get him out if we don’t get him out. I don’t think we’re going to have a country left,” Trump reiterated.

The former president had already promised to launch “the largest domestic deportation operation in American history,” and reportedly planned to use an Eisenhower-era program known as “Operation Wetback” as a model, according to The Washington Post.

“Americans can expect that immediately upon President Trump’s return to the Oval Office, he will restore all of his prior policies, implement brand new crackdowns that will send shock waves to all the world’s criminal smugglers, and marshal every federal and state power necessary to institute the largest deportation operation in American history,” Trump campaign spokeswoman Karoline Leavitt said in a statement, adding that illegal migrants “should not get comfortable because very soon they will be going home.”

Earlier this year, Trump revealed his plan to shift “massive proportions” of law enforcement to put an end to what he called an immigration “invasion” that he referred to in a fiery op-ed published in the Des Moines Register in Iowa.

“On my first day back in office, I will terminate every open borders policy of the Biden administration and immediately restore the full set of strong Trump border policies,” he vowed, promising to follow up with a “record-setting deportation operation.”

“Joe Biden has given us no choice. The millions of illegal aliens who have invaded under Biden require a record number of removals. This is just common sense,” Trump wrote.
