Trump gets an Election Day reckoning from an unlikely source: The New York Post

Much finger-pointing has ensued in the wake of Tuesday’s midterm elections, including Wednesday’s brutal The New York Post cover.

Across social media, Republicans and conservatives are racing to identify the issues that caused them to lose spectacularly to the Democrats. Some say not passing the SAVE America Act was to blame, while others suggest that sky-high gas prices and affordability played a large role.

According to The Post, President Donald Trump is the reason behind what is being called a “blue tsunami.”

“Trump suffers historic rebuke as Dems romp in midterms,” the upper right corner reads.

“This is a historic romp for Democrats last night, as they flipped both the House and the Senate – including picking up seats in unlikely states such as Texas and Kansas,” the lower right corner reads. “Voters were eager to voice their displeasure for President Trump’s handling of Iran and the economy.”

“I wasn’t on the Ballot and if I was, we would have won IN A LANDSLIDE! Thank you for your attention to this matter,” the president wrote in a Truth Social post Tuesday evening. This statement comes after he implored voters in several states to vote like he was on the ballot and support the Republican candidates he had endorsed.
