Trump reacts to ‘No Kings’ protests: ‘I’m not a king, I work my ass off’

President Donald Trump dismissed “No Kings Day” protests as a “joke” and reminded how he works his “ass off to make our country great.”

The president was speaking with reporters before exiting Air Force One at Joint Base Andrews on Sunday, calling the left’s out-of-touch whining “ineffective” and calling out wealthy donors for funding the events across the nation, including Washington, DC, New York, Chicago, and Los Angeles.

“I think it’s a joke,” Trump replied when asked about the weekend’s planned protests.

“I looked at the people — they’re not representative of this country. And I looked at all the brand new signs… I guess it was paid for by [George] Soros and other radical left lunatics,” Trump told reporters. “It looks like it was. We’re checking it out.”

“The demonstrations were very small, very ineffective, and the people were whacked out. When you look at those people, those are not representative of the people of our country,” he said.

“I’m not a king,” Trump added. “I work my ass off to make our country great. That’s all it is. I’m not a king at all.”

He asserted a similar stance during an interview on Fox News’s “Sunday Morning Futures.”

“They’re referring to me as a king. I’m not a king,” he told Fox News’s Maria Bartiromo ahead of demonstrations.

Poking fun at the protests and the “No Kings” theme, the president shared an AI-generated video of himself on Truth Social, which depicted him flying a fighter jet with the words “King Trump” while wearing a crown.
