President Donald J. Trump suggested that Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) is lying with her recent comments that the Democratic Party should walk back the “woke” as it seeks to convince the public it can be trusted with power again.
The Democrat diva is inching closer to jumping into the 2028 race, tapping into the energy of the socialist movement which is ascendant in a party where the establishment is being rejected by the farthest left elements of its own base, but the gross excesses of the post-George Floyd cultural revolution are still a turnoff to much of the electorate.
Trump reacted to AOC’s transparently insincere effort to distance herself from the “woke 1” era by pointing out that it’s just a big fat scam to dupe the public, telling Fox News’ Alexis McAdams that “woke” will be back with a vengeance the second that leftists like the former taqueria barkeep get elected.

When asked whether AOC will indeed take a shot at the White House in two years, Trump opined that he thinks she will. “She’s got a lot of sizzle,” he said of Ocasio-Cortez during a 2024 interview, offering rare praise of a Democrat.
“If you really look at it, they’re all saying the same thing,” Trump said on Friday from Garden City, NY where he spoke at a police training center. “They’re all trying to disavow themselves from what they said about crime and, well, they’re saying, ‘We love sanctuary cities.’”
“I think you’re going to see sanctuary cities start to end, because sanctuary cities are a disaster. And somebody like her, she was big for sanctuary cities,” he added of AOC. “They cause crime.”
“That’s when it all started. No cash bail,” the president said of the socialists. “Somebody kills somebody, and they just say, ‘All right, go ahead and come back in two weeks.’”
“The woke will become woke again as soon as they get elected,” Trump said.
“Woke 1 was crazy,” the congresswoman chortled to ABC’s Jon Karl on Sunday.

An insatiable glutton for attention, Ocasio-Cortez further fueled speculation that she’s going to jump into what promises to be a crowded field of mutants and misfits when she posted a video to Instagram last weekend announcing that she’s freezing her eggs.
Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has announced she is freezing her eggs and has posted a video of her injecting herself with medication.

When asked by Karl about a potential presidential bid, AOC didn’t rule it out.
“I haven’t ruled out the possibility,” she said, adding, “And I’m very humbled to the tremendous amount of support out there. I think that we have a responsibility to remain focused on the midterms and not on our individual aspirations or plans.”
“She’s got a spark that’s pretty amazing actually. She’s got a good spark,” the president previously said of the ambitious left-wing lawmaker.
