Trump says left trying to ‘destroy our beautiful work’ after reported arrested for sabotaging Reflecting Pool

A man was reportedly arrested for vandalizing the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool, which has been targeted by saboteurs seeking to cause embarrassment to President Donald J. Trump.

The president’s makeover of the iconic Washington, D.C. attraction for the nation’s 250th anniversary with “American flag blue” painting has been plagued by an algae bloom, much to the delight of critics, and some have now taken to ripping off pieces of the paint, including ABC News reporter Jonathan Karl.

Misfit “pro algae” demonstrators are now parading along the Reflecting Pool with their ridiculous signs.

According to independent reporter Emily Miller, an arrest has been made of a person for “cutting out a big piece of blue sealant.”

In another video, Miller shows a man she said has been arrested for “vandalizing” the pool after apparently trying to wrest a hose used by workers who were clearing the algae.

Reporter Nick Sortor shared video of National Guard troops monitoring the pool.

“Deranged lefts are literally VANDALIZING the pool just to “get Trump” INSANE to think this is where we are as a country,” he wrote.

“Very obvious that the reflecting pool was targeted by saboteurs over the past week,” another X user wrote.

Trump has also now weighed in on the Reflecting Pool situation in a Friday night Truth Social post touting the tremendous progress in cleaning up D.C. monuments, memorials, statues, and fountains, and stating that the problem now is with vandals.

“However, we’ve had some real problems with Vandalism at the beautiful Reflecting Pool, which sits between The Washington Monument and The Lincoln Memorial. Just like three days ago, they destroyed the grass outside of the Pool, they’ve also done everything possible to hurt the inside surface that was just installed. No different than the chemicals that were used on the National Mall, they used something similar in the Reflecting Pool to try to destroy and demean our beautiful work,” Trump wrote.

“Lightweight ABC Reporter, Jonathan Karl, was seen sticking his hand into the Pool, and trying to rip the rubber off of the surface,” the president continued. “The algae is 75% gone, and the condition will soon be completely remedied, and the area that was vandalized, fortunately, is just a small area of damage, and will be fixed early next week.”

“It’s a shame that the Radical Left Lunatics, most likely Dumocats, who have spent their lives trying to ruin our Country, are free to do so. Law Enforcement is actively investigating this situation, and will hopefully have it resolved soon,” Trump concluded.
