Trump serves up Thanksgiving meal to officers bravely fighting Biden’s open border mess

Republican frontrunner Donald J. Trump made a trip to Texas on Sunday where he visited the front lines of America’s illegal alien crisis and came away with a major endorsement and likely some new friends too.

The former president showed that when it comes to caring about securing the nation’s porous southern border, there is only one real choice in next year’s pivotal election and it isn’t Joe Biden as Trump vowed to get the situation under control during an appearance in Edinburg, a city in Hidalgo County about 30 miles from Mexico.

Trump was warmly greeted by Texas Governor Greg Abbott who endorsed him for president and the America first leader pitched in to personally serve up a Thanksgiving meal to those tasked with performing a thankless job under Biden’s open borders administration.

Texas State Troopers, Texas National Guard troops, Texas Department of Public Safety officers, and other Operation Lone Star members took selfies with Trump who helped to load up the plates of those working at the border during the holiday week.

“What you do is incredible, and you want it to be done right,” Trump told the dedicated public servants.

“They should not be here at this time. They should be at home,” Abbott said of the troopers and guard members, ”the only reason why they are here is because we have a president of the United States of America who is not securing our border.”

“We need a president who’s going to secure the border,” Gov. Abbott said. “We need Donald J. Trump back as our president of the United States of America.”

“Mr. Governor, I am going to make your job much easier,” Trump said who called it a “tremendous honor.”

“You’ll be able to focus on other things in Texas,” he told Abbott.

“It was my Great Honor to serve Thanksgiving meals to law enforcement and troops who will be stationed at the Southern Border during the Thanksgiving holiday this week. On behalf of all Americans, THANK YOU for your service and dedication,” Trump wrote on Truth Social.

“Texas is forever grateful for our brave service members who work day and night to protect and defend our state and our nation,” Abbott said. “I am proud to be with President Trump here today to thank the thousands of Texas National Guard soldiers and DPS troopers who are stationed along the border for Operation Lone Star to respond to President Biden’s border crisis. This Thanksgiving as they are away from their families and loved ones, may we remember the sacrifices these brave men and women in uniform make every day to ensure the safety and security of all Texans and Americans.”
