Trump sweeps Biden’s aviator glasses off the Resolute Desk on epic cover

The latest TIME Magazine cover truly marks the beginning of President-elect Donald Trump’s second term.

It depicts the incoming president sweeping piles of papers, a phone and President Joe Biden’s iconic aviators off the Resolute Desk in the Oval Office as the words “He’s back” flash onto the screen.

Watch:

Of course, because it’s TIME, this is not meant as a compliment. The caption on X even reads “TIME’s new Inauguration cover: Donald Trump’s disruption is back.” The artist behind this piece, Tim O’Brien, has depicted Trump negatively in the past through a series of photos meant to illustrate the chaos of his leadership with rising water levels. This started almost immediately after Trump took office in 2017 and it appears the second term will be covered much the same as the first.

X users had a lot to say about the cover, and about the magazine’s blatant political agenda:

This cover also marks a departure from the magazine’s previous Trump coverage, in which they recognized him as “Person of the Year” following his November 5 victory over Vice President Kamala Harris.

“Trump’s political rebirth is unparalleled in American history,” TIME acknowledged, as BizPac Review previously reported. “An assassin’s bullet missed his skull by less than an inch at a rally in Butler, Pa., in July. Over the next four months, he beat not one but two Democratic opponents, swept all seven swing states, and became the first Republican to win the popular vote in 20 years. He has realigned American politics, remaking the GOP and leaving Democrats reckoning with what went awry.”

This was met with the expected grumbling from leftists who promised to cancel their subscription to the magazine over it.
