Trump tells TPUSA crowd Dems’ Jan. 6 ‘persecution’ is intended to hurt 2024 run: ‘No chance’ I stay home

Former President Donald Trump took the TPUSA stage at the annual Student Action Summit on Saturday and vowed to the crowd of young conservatives that he would never “renounce his beliefs” or “stay silent” because he will always stand up for the American people.

In a rousing keynote address to a packed room of high school- and college-aged conservatives, Trump explained why the left is relentless in their attempts to destroy his political career.

“Everything this corrupt establishment is doing to me is all about preserving their power and control over the American people,” he stated. “They’re sick. They want to damage me in any form so I can no longer represent you.”

“Obviously they want me not to be the candidate, because they never talk about anybody else,” he said. “And you know, everything’s disinformation.

No amount of “fact-checking” and “persecution” from the “fake news media” — who Trump said is “totally complicit” in the rigging of the 2020 election — will silence the MAGA King.

“If I renounce my beliefs, if I agreed to stay silent, if I stayed home, if I announced that I was not going to run for office, the  would immediately stop. You know that, right? They would go on, the persecution of Donald Trump would immediately stop,” he said.

“We know that, everybody knows that, but that’s what they want me to do,” he continued. “And you know what? There’s no chance I do that. There’s just no chance I do.”

“I can’t because… I love you and I love this country,” he explained. “We can’t let this happen. They’re coming after me because I am standing up for you. That’s why they’re coming after me, and because you’re a force. Remember this in the history of our country. There has never ever been a movement like we are all proud to be a part of.”

During his 90-minute speech, Trump laid into the Biden administration for its numerous destructive policies and saved some special words for “nut job” House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.

“Nancy Pelosi, she’s nuts,” Trump stated.

“I’m telling you, she’s a nut job. I mean, you talk about people in politics — look at her husband,” he continued, referencing allegations that she and Paul Pelosi, recently arrested for a DUI, are guilty of insider trading. “Every time something happens, he goes out and he buys stuff. He’s made a lot of money. He made $!00 million. He started off with nothing.”

“She’s crazy,” he said. “I’m telling you, she’s a psycho.”

As for 2024?

Considering the number of votes Trump received in 2020 and the energy of his supporters today, the former President stated, “Now we may just have to do it again.”
