Trump to be honored with Israel Prize: ‘Modern Hitler really failing at being Hitler’

The latest honor for President Donald Trump not only required Israel to “break a convention,” but it proved him to be unquestionably the “Worst Hitler ever.”

A common refrain from the hyperbolic left, including elected officials like twice-failed White House hopeful former Vice President Kamala Harris, has been to compare America’s chief executive to the WWII German dictator. Monday, the Trump Derangement Syndrome-driven slight was marked dead and buried for those reasoning with logic, as, at Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s urging, Trump was awarded the Jewish state’s highest cultural honor, the Israel Prize.

During the world leaders’ joint press conference from Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach, Florida, Netanyahu made note that the president was the first non-Israeli to be given the award as he said, “We decided to break a convention, or create a new one, and that is to award the Israel Prize, which in almost our 80 years we’ve never awarded it to a non-Israeli, and we’re going to award it this year to President Trump.”

“This was announced formally over lunch by our minister of education, who is responsible for the Israel Prize,” continued the visiting dignitary. “It’s going to be awarded to President Donald J. Trump for his tremendous contributions to Israel and the Jewish people.”

“It really is a great honor,” the president responded.

Earlier in the day, Netanyahu held up his phone during lunch as Israeli Education Minister Yoav Kisch explained that Trump’s award was in the category Special Contribution to the Jewish People.

“This category [was] created to recognize individuals whose actions have left an exceptional and enduring impact on the Jewish people in Israel and throughout the world,” said Kisch.

Among the cited contributions were the relocation of America’s embassy to Jerusalem, the negotiation of the release of hostages held by Hamas in Gaza, efforts to stop antisemitism, and recognition of Israel’s right to defend itself.

The latter was reinforced during the meeting, as reports that Iran could be working to rebuild its nuclear program found Trump reaffirming his support for Israel to defend itself against the Islamist regime months after the commander-in-chief himself had authorized strikes against its nuclear facilities, bringing about an end to the 12-day war via Operation Midnight Hammer.

It remains to be seen whether or not the president’s schedule and security requirements will allow him to attend the ceremony in person, set for April 22 to coincide with Israel Independence Day.

What is clear is that no matter what lengths the left goes to in an effort to compare Trump to Adolf Hitler regarding alleged authoritarianism and nationalism, the comparison is entirely laughable given the support the president has consistently shown for the Jewish state of Israel.

As political commentator Scott Jennings put it, “Modern Hitler really failing at being Hitler.”
