Trump to speak from Mar-a-Lago hours after arraignment as gag order looms

Former President Donald Trump may be headed back to New York City for his arraignment, but reports indicate scheduled plans for after that could find him at risk of violating a gag order.

Calls for supporters to protest have not abated even as the president prepared to willingly present himself to the court following his Thursday indictment. Facing more than 30 counts related to alleged business fraud and hush money payments to adult film star Stormy Daniels, Trump took to Truth Social to speak out.

“I will be leaving Mar-a-Lago on Monday at 12 noon, heading to Trump Tower in New York. On Tuesday morning I will be going to, believe it or not, the Courthouse. America was not supposed to be this way!” he lamented before following up, “ELECTION INTERFERENCE!!!”

However, reports suggested the president wasn’t going to let corporate media control the narrative of the unprecedented case as, despite expectations of a gag order being imposed, numerous outlets have confirmed Trump’s plan to give an address from his Florida residence at Mar-a-Lago 8:15 p.m. Tuesday.

“The Trump legal team now thinks that the Manhattan judge will take the unprecedented step of silencing the presidential frontrunner with an unconstitutional gag order tomorrow,” a source told the Daily Mail.

“The Trump legal team is considering adding a First Amendment lawyer to the effort to combat this and will fight it all the way,” they added.

Were the president to violate a gag order, New York law would allow for a possible $1,000 fine and even as much as 30 days behind bars.

“We will take the indictment. We will dissect it,” Trump attorney Joe Tacopina said on CNN Sunday. “The team will look at every, every potential issue that we will be able to challenge, and we will challenge. And of course, I very much anticipate a motion to dismiss coming because there’s no law that fits this.”

As the president put it on Truth Social, “The Corrupt D.A. has no case. What he does have is a venue where it is IMPOSSIBLE for me to get a Fair Trial (it must be changed!), and a Trump Hating Judge, hand selected by the Soros backed D.A. (he must be changed!). Also has the DOJ working in the D.A.’s Office – Unprecedented!”

Meanwhile, the one-time commander-in-chief was not lacking for support as, asked and answered, protests were scheduled near the courthouse Tuesday including one by the New York Young Republican Club to feature Georgia Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R).

“Join us in peaceful protest of Alvin Bragg’s heinous attack on President Donald J. Trump!” the event announcement read. “Join the NYYRC, Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene, Jack Posobiec, and Graham Allen in peaceful protest of Alvin Bragg’s heinous attack on President Donald J. Trump!”

Experiencing a post-indictment bump in the polls that continued to place him ahead of the rest of a hypothetical pack, Trump also made sure to address his supporters ahead of the coming proceeding with a Sunday message that read, “I have never had so much support and love as I do now against the Radical Left Insurrectionists, Extortionists, Crooked Politicians and Thugs that are destroying our Country. Thank you, we will MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!!!”
