President Donald Trump declared Seward’s Folly as home to the worst Republican senator “by far” as the known RINO lawmaker embarked on her own ill-advised posturing.
In 2022, the then-former president made a case to get Kelly Tshibaka elected to the U.S. Senate to represent Alaska. Four years after she accused Senate Leader Mitch McConnell (R) of sabotaging efforts to replace the incumbent with a conservative alternative, Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R) earned new criticism from Trump as a “DISGRACE” to both her state and nation for opposing a Justice Department lawsuit.
“The Republicans’ Worst Senator, by far, Lisa Murkowski, of the Great State of Alaska (A State for which I produced, on a continuing basis, Billions and Billions of Dollars, and which Crooked Joe Biden and the Dumocrats had totally shut down — Then I came back, and delivered even more!), who only got elected because of Corrupt Ranked Choice Voting, is upset because I revealed what everyone knows,” wrote the president Saturday in a Truth Social post, “that the Ranked Choice Voting Ballot is a TOTAL DEMOCRAT SCAM meant to confuse the Voter, so that Senator Dan Sullivan will lose Votes to a man who has never participated in Politics before, named Daniel J. Sullivan, Jr.”
“[Sullivan, Jr.] is only there because the Democrats want to steal the Election, and Murkowski probably wants that to happen, which is why she is against the DOJ filing a Lawsuit in order to stop this impending crime and tragedy,” the chief executive went on to argue before concluding, “Lisa Murkowski is a DISGRACE to Alaska and our Country. You just don’t get any worse!”
The post included a sample ballot leaving voters to order their choices for Senator with two Sullivans, Democrat Mary Peltola and Republican Gerald L. Heikes.
As had been reported, the DOJ announced a lawsuit to block the outcome of the Alaska Senate election should the results suggest that the inclusion of a second Dan Sullivan on the ballot prove the deciding factor in a potential loss for the incumbent senator.
Reacting to the suit on social media, Murkowski, known for opposing the president’s policies and his appointments, wrote, “Alaskans don’t need any help voting for their preferred candidates, and the State of Alaska has already handled this by clearly distinguishing the candidates on this year’s ballot. The Department of Justice should never have filed this lawsuit.”
Trump had more to say on Saturday and went on to publish a second post as he encouraged voters to approve Ballot Measure 2 and repeal ranked-choice voting.
“They’ve been trying to get rid of Lisa Murkowski forever in Alaska, then she came up with the Ranked Choice Voting SCAM, and pulled a nice hot iron out of the fire,” said the president. “Everyone thought she came in second or third, but then she ‘won.’ Miracles happen!”
