President Donald Trump dropped a warning for people living in blue states as people with money continue to flee for greener pastures.
Trump took to Truth Social to share a Just the News article about businesses taking their headquarters out of Illinois, echoing his warning that states run by Democrats are going to continue pushing out anyone with money until the only thing left are “ghettos.”

“Rich people and Companies are pouring out of Dumocrat run Blue States at levels never seen before! If this trend continues, these States will become the ‘Ghettos’ of the Future — No people, no money, no hope. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!” he captioned the post.
While leftists tend to dismiss much of what the president says, it appears this claim will be much harder to explain away since people are seeing it with their own eyes.
The article Trump shared covers the departure of True Value Hardware headquarters from Governor JB Pritzker’s Illinois, but notes that they aren’t the first business to head to another state.
“True Value joins the ranks of other longtime Illinois companies like Boeing, Tyson Foods, Morton Salt and Caterpillar, the latter of which pointedly cautioned that the state’s inability to balance the budget and lower taxes would drive out businesses,” the piece reads. “Founded in Illinois in 1948, the hardware wholesaler is relocating to Fort Wayne, Indiana, following its 2024 bankruptcy and acquisition by rival Do It Best. The company cited long-term stability and a need for a more business-friendly environment, resulting in the loss of hundreds of headquarters jobs and associated revenue for the state.”
It also notes that Trump warned of this exact reality in a Truth Social post published in April.
“Job-producing people and companies are being forced to flee at levels never seen before. Remember, once people and companies leave, they are never coming back,” the president predicted.
But companies aren’t the only ones loading up moving vans in Illinois. Even the Chicago Bears announced their intention to relocate to Indiana despite calling Chicago home for over 100 years. Their desire to build a stadium to share with their fans drove the move, claiming they “spent years trying to build a new home in Cook County.”
Pritzker spokesperson Matt Hill rebuked the decision at the time.
“Suggesting the Bears would move to Indiana is a startling slap in the face to all the beloved and loyal fans who have been rallying around the team during this strong season. The Governor’s a Bears fan who has always wanted them to stay in Chicago. He has also said that ultimately they are a private business,” he said.
It is unlikely that Democrats will heed any advice from the president, so it is just a matter of time before the future he is predicting becomes reality.
