President Donald Trump’s latest exchange with CNN’s Kaitlan Collins has made it into evidence.
As CNN, MS NOW and Politico take the president to court over his ban, which bars their outlets from the White House grounds, it appears they are going to use their own words against him. It started when Trump noticed Collins was among the reporters covering the United Nations General Assembly on Tuesday.
“I’m surprised that CNN is here covering me. You shouldn’t be here!” he jabbed.
“The United Nations allowed us in, sir,” Collins explained.
“You should not be here covering me. You said you weren’t going to cover me, you shouldn’t be covering me,” Trump doubled down.
Later that evening, MidasTouch chief Washington Correspondent Scott MacFarlane reported that an Axios report of these remarks had been entered into evidence in the lawsuit.

Trump-appointed U.S. District Judge Timothy Kelly will hear arguments in the case this afternoon, as the organizations seek to convince the court that their treatment under Trump is unconstitutional.
As BizPac Review previously reported, Trump did not appear intimidated by this move as he issued a late-night Truth Social post bashing Collins, CNN and other “sleazebags.”

“All of the SLEAZEBAGS, like Third Rate ‘Reporter,’ Kaitlan Collins, of Fake News CNN, a truly unhappy person, said they weren’t going to be covering me. Then why were they ranting and raving like Lunatics, in the Press Area, at the United Nations? Why was she there?” Trump asked. “She’s got a ‘TRUMP’ addiction, and so does CNN and MSDNC. They’re all sick, treasonous, and demented! The ‘good news, is that they have a great, for them, and totally disloyal Judge.”
His reference to Judge Kelly as “totally disloyal” may convey his lack of confidence in being treated fairly, even by someone he appointed to the position. It remains to be seen how Kelly will handle the case before him, but it’s clear the media outlets are willing to put up a fight to get back into the White House press pool.
