Tucker: Biden admin is dangerously close to giving WHO power over every intimate aspect of your life

The Biden administration has been working to establish a new international pandemic treaty that critics claim would effectively grant the World Health Organization (WHO) “total authority over emergency operations in the United States,” as reported by Fox News host Tucker Carlson.

Speaking on Fox News’ “Tucker Carlson Tonight” this Thursday, the eponymous host said that in January, “the Biden administration submitted a series of proposed amendments to something called the International Health Regulations (the IHR).”

The amendments are reportedly set to be combined with amendments “from several other countries” to “create a new global pandemic treaty.”

The problem, Carlson continued, is that this treaty would allegedly inconspicuously grant the WHO unprecedented power during a pandemic. The “catch” is that the WHO would get to define the meaning of a “pandemic.”

“The World Health Organization gets to define what a pandemic is, when a pandemic is in progress and how long a pandemic lasts. Then you read the fine print and you realize the WHO will have total authority over emergency operations in the United States if there’s ever a ‘public health emergency,'” Carlson explained.

Thanks to the Biden administration, the WHO would also get to define the meaning of a “public health emergency.”

“The White House eliminated a provision that would have required the World Health Organization to ‘consult with an attempt to obtain verification from the state party in whose territory the event is allegedly occurring in,'” the Fox News host said.

“So, as originally written, they couldn’t do anything without the permission of their member countries’ governments. But thanks to the change that the Biden administration pushed, effectively there is no limit at all on WHO’s power and then it gets worse from there. The treaty also mandates a ‘whole of government and a whole of society approach to pandemic preparedness,'” he added.

The key words there are pandemic preparedness, because as noted by Carlson, “every society is always preparing for a pandemic, and that means there will not be a moment ever when the WHO doesn’t have operational control over so-called public health matters in this country.”

But it gets worse, and thanks again to the Biden administration.

“Thanks to an amendment from the Biden administration, the treaty contains a provision for a compliance committee. … It provides that every member country in the WHO must, ‘inform WHO about the establishment of its national competent authority responsible for overall implementation of the IHR that will be recognized and held accountable,'” according to Carlson.

“Under this treaty, WHO. members must enforce orders from the WHO. They have to act as the heavies for the WHO and if they don’t, they’ll be sanctioned. The White House is going to be the muscle for the director of the World Health Organization,” he explained.

As to what sort of orders the WHO might submit, the treaty would reportedly require “national and global coordinated actions to address the misinformation, disinformation and stigmatization that undermine public health.”

It’d also authorize the global agency “to build capacity to deploy proactive countermeasures against misinformation and social media attacks.”

Carlson didn’t like the sound of this.

“So they’re going to get to censor anybody who doesn’t agree with what they do,” he said, summing up the conservative belief that efforts to root out so-called “misinformation” and “disinformation” are based on a desire to silence dissenting thoughts.

But again it gets worse.

The treaty would also grant the WHO the authority to “develop standards for producing a digital version of the International Certificate of vaccination and prophylaxis,” meaning the agency would be able to establish vaccine passports and regulate travel.

“So you may be thinking, ‘Well, it’s just about COVID and I went along with mandatory vaccines and vaccine passports at the time. How bad could it be?’ … But it’s not just about COVID, because WHO will be in charge of, ‘the digitalization of all health forms,'” Carlson continued.

“World Health Organization will also ‘share real time information about travel measures.’ So, you’re going to find out exactly when you’re allowed to get on a bus or train or airplane or how about your bicycle? Will they regulate that too? Maybe.”

The WHO would also be granted “total control over vaccine manufacturing and distribution,” according to Carlson, and worse, it’d be required to distribute vaccines “equitably,” presumably meaning by race.

The WHO will ensure “equitable and effective access to vaccines, therapeutics, diagnostics and essential supplies and for clinical trials,” meaning that “health care workers and the most vulnerable will have priority access,” the treaty itself reportedly reads.

Carlson concluded his remarks by noting that “125,000 people in the U.K. have just called for a referendum on this treaty” and expressing hope that Americans will follow suit. He warned, however, that the American media are completely ignoring the story.

Meanwhile, establishment “fact-checkers” have begun ostensibly debunking this narrative.

“No, the WHO would not have control over governments during a global health crisis. The amendments to the International Health Regulations would allow WHO member countries to share data and better prepare for future pandemics, but preserve the authority of individual countries,” one fact-check from Sacramento station KXTV reads.
