President Joe Biden’s commemoration of the 22nd anniversary of 9/11 drew strong criticism, not only for his snubbing of the memorial events at the sites of the terrorist attacks where innocent Americans were murdered but also for his remarks during a speech that he gave from Alaska, words that deeply offended Tulsi Gabbard.
The former Democrat congresswoman who is now a Fox News contributor sat down with host Pete Hegseth on Tuesday’s edition of “Fox & Friends” where they discussed the $6 billion hostage swap with terrorist hotbed Iran, a deal likened to a “ransom” payment that was announced on the day of remembrance, as well as Biden’s brazen hypocrisy in calling for “national unity” at a time when his regime has declared war on the political opposition.

Gabbard, an Iraq war combat veteran, slammed the timing of the administration’s waiting until the 22nd anniversary of 9/11 to inform Congress of the Iran swap “on a date where the president decided not to show up at any of the sites that were attacked on 9/11, basically turning his back on all the families who were there who lost loved ones.”
“Turning his back on our fellow Americans,” she added, “people like you and I, who were motivated to join the military because of 9/11,” she said to Hegseth, a fellow military vet who served in Iraq.”And then to go and deliver this speech in Alaska that I personally found many parts of it to be quite offensive, where he chose to lecture the American people, saying, you all, we all have a responsibility to defend democracy, that we have to stand united.”
“This is coming from a guy who has done nothing but divide America since the day that he took office,” Gabbard pointed out. “And as he is telling us, we have to defend democracy, we Americans, while he and his administration are doing everything they possibly can to undermine our democracy and undermine our fundamental freedoms that are enshrined in the Constitution. The hypocrisy is deafening.”
“This day reminds us, we must never lose that sense of national unity,” Biden said, a laughable statement from a man who ran as a unifier but has spent his entire time in office engaging in race-baiting demagoguery and demonizing the tens of millions of Americans who voted for the “wrong” guy in 2020 as well as siccing the weaponized federal justice system on former President Donald J. Trump and his supporters.
Hegseth also noted Biden’s dubious claim that he was at Ground Zero on the day after the attacks despite there being no proof that he visited the ruins of the World Trade Center until much later.

“It’s almost like he feels like if he just says things, that they’re true,” Gabbard said. “And thinking that we’re so stupid as to sit back and believe what he says when in reality we can see that the opposite is actually very true.”
