Twisted Sister’s Dee Snider has message for targets of trans cancel culture: ‘You don’t have to cave’

The importance of conviction was not overlooked by rocker Dee Snider as he continued to hold his ground against cancel culture in the wake of speaking out against genital mutilation surgeries for kids.

“People are so quick to apologize when they’ve done nothing wrong.”

Unlike his KISS counterpart Paul Stanley, the frontman for Twisted Sister has held firm to his previous remarks about those pushing transgenderism on children and recently spoke with Fox News Digital about cancel culture.

“You don’t have to cave, you don’t have to apologize if you did nothing wrong,” he said in the conversation while promoting his recently released book “Frats.”

“If you did something wrong, you know? If you did something wrong, you raped a woman, yeah you gotta do more than apologize, but at the same time that’s not something you stand strong about,” Snider asserted. “But if you have a position and a belief and people come at you for it, everybody is folding.”

Previously, snippets of the discussion with Fox News Digital had been released where the rocker addressed accusations that his position in defense of children made him a “transphobe.”

Affirming his support of those who fly the rainbow standard, Snider continued to hold his ground that minors were not equipped to make life-altering medical decisions, and allowing as much was a sign “irresponsible parenting is the norm in society.

The remarks came weeks after the Twisted Sister had spoken out in defense of Stanley when the KISS co-founder had released a statement noting the “BIG difference between teaching acceptance and normalizing and even encouraging participation in a lifestyle that confuses young children into questioning their sexual identification as though some sort of game…”

Days later, he would walk back those remarks and note, “While my thoughts were clear, my words clearly were not,” as he contended, “I support those struggling with their sexual identity while enduring constant hostility and those whose path leads them to reassignment surgery.”

On Stanley’s capitulation, Snider said, “People are so quick to apologize when they’ve done nothing wrong. And Paul immediately apologized and he didn’t say anything wrong. You know, and he took back his words, and I won’t do it.”

Responding to the original post, the rocker had related to what some kids are going through and tweeted, “You know what? There was a time where I ‘felt pretty’ too. Glad my parents didn’t jump to any rash conclusions! Well said, @PaulStanleyLive.”

The position has not come without consequence for Snider as he had been disinvited from performing at the San Francisco Pride Parade & Celebration where he had been slated to perform the classic “We’re Not Gonna Take It.”

Despite the backlash, he reminded Fox News Digital, “I wasn’t kidding when I wrote, ‘We’re Not Gonna Take it.’ I wasn’t kidding. I’m that guy and I will always be that guy.”
