U.S. Marine in custody after missing girl, 14, found in barracks; family says she was sold for sex

While the mainstream media is busy trying to convince the world that “The Sound of Freedom,” a film about child sex-trafficking, is nothing more than a “QAnon-adjacent” conspiracy theory, a U.S. Marine was taken into custody for questioning after a missing 14-year-old San Diego girl with learning disabilities was found inside the barracks at Camp Pendleton.

According to the girl’s family, the teen, who is Native American, was sold for sex and subsequently raped by the soldier.

“She was found in the barracks by military police,” the victim’s aunt, Casaundra Perez, said in a TikTok video. “She had been sold to a soldier for sex.”

The teen ran away from her grandmother’s home on June 9, according to NBC 7 in San Diego.

Four days later, her grandmother reported the teen’s disappearance to the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department (SDSO).

“The grandmother reported to deputies that the teen had previously run away before, but always returned home quickly,” Melissa Aquino, SDSO’s media relations officer, stated.

On June 28, military police found the girl inside the barracks.

Captain Chuck Palmer of Camp Pendleton-based 1st Marine Logistics Group confirmed that the suspect was taken into custody and is being questioned.

“We can confirm that a Marine with Combat Logistics Battalion 5, 1st Marine Logistics Group was taken into custody for questioning by Naval Criminal Investigative Services [NCIS] on June 28, 2023, as seen on social media July 2, 2023,” Captain Palmer told NBC 7. “The incident is under investigation, and we will continue to cooperate with NCIS and appropriate authorities.”

In her video, Perez accused the military of trying to cover up the horrifying incident.

“The reality is the whole facility allowed this to happen,” she said. “The security looked her in the face and allowed this man to bring a minor onto base where he then proceeded to have sex with her. Due to her age, she could not have given this consent.”

“Our family is worried about retaliation from the military and the man that has trafficked my niece,” Perez said. “We believe that they could be working together and covering this up, and that the military is only trying to protect their property.”

In a follow-up video posted two days ago, Perez said that the point of sharing her video is “to make people aware that children of America — children of this world — are in danger.”

“Some of the people responsible are people that pledged their lives to protect us,” she said. “This can happen to anyone.”

“I know it’s not all of you,” Perez said. “I know. All I am trying to do is give the military the opportunity to uphold their promise to protect the American people and especially our children.”

“I know you are aware that, once you sign that contract to serve, you become their property,” she continued. “I don’t care what that piece of paper says, and you shouldn’t either. People are not property. You are free. You have free will.”

“If this resonates in your soul,” she urged those who serve, “please be the hero you signed up to be and hold your fellow service members accountable.”
