‘U.S. owes us a debt’: Dems demand trillions in reparations ‘NOW’

Squad member Ayanna Pressley, the socialist congresswoman from Massachusetts, served up another reminder Thursday that when it comes to toxic critical race theory and discriminatory DEI policies, all roads point to reparations — the demand for handouts coming from people who never endured slavery.

Speaking at an event aptly titled, “Why We Can’t Wait: Advancing Reparative Justice in Our Lifetime,” the Democrat had no shame in her Marxist game.

“We are in a moment of anti-blackness on steroids. We will not back down in our pursuit of racial justice,” she breathlessly declared. “The antidote to anti-blackness is to be pro-black, and we will do it unapologetically. The United States government owes us a debt, and we need reparations now.”

Rep. Summer Lee (D-Pa) introduced a Reparations NOW resolution on Thursday, prompting a coalition of Democrats to speak out in favor of a measure that will cost trillions of dollars.

“We’re here to say that there’s no more waiting, no more watering down, no more putting justice on layaway,” Lee said. “Black folks are owed more than thoughts and prayers. We’re owed repair, we’re owed restitution and we’re owed justice.”

Earlier this year, Lee attacked the Trump administration with divisive rhetoric about race.

“White supremacy is rampant in this country, just look at the current administration … they have contributed to racial terror,” she said.

Former squad member Cory Bush first introduced the reparations bill before voters in her district had the good sense to kick her to the curb. She was among those in line on Thursday with their hands out for free money.

“For over 400 years, this country has profited off the stolen labor, the stolen land, and stolen lives of black people,” Bush declared, pushing an all-too-familiar talking point.

Based on the reaction online, the reparations topic is still not too popular with American taxpayers who will have to foot the bill — here’s a quick sampling of responses, as seen on X:
