Armed Border Patrol agents who operate under the direction of President Joe Biden’s administration were caught on video swinging open the gate that separates the United States from Mexico to allow illegal migrants in, just moments after officers of the Texas National Guard had locked it.
Video of a Border Patrol agent unbuckling the barb-wire fence and allowing a group of men, women, and children to saunter into the States went viral on Wednesday, sparking outrage among those who see the unending swarm of border-crossers as a surging national security threat.
“For the first time, we witnessed the TX National Guard close & lock a gate on private property at a major crossing area in Eagle Pass, denying entry to migrants who just crossed illegally & expected to be let in,” tweeted Los Angeles-based Fox News reporter, Bill Melugin. “Border Patrol then came w/ a key & let them in for processing.”
“This was the moment Border Patrol arrived with the key and let the migrants in,” he continued in a follow-up tweet. “The landowner allows both TX DPS/National Guard and Border Patrol to work here. The gate has always been left open in the past. TX is now closing it, & migrants have to wait for BP to be let in.”

While watching the Border Agents swinging the gate open for would-be asylum seekers is shocking, Melugin explains that the more surprising part of the story is that the gate was locked to begin with.
“Border Patrol opening gates etc to allow migrants in is not new,” he said. “They have to process migrants on U.S. soil per federal law.”

The move to lock the gate by the Texas National Guard is yet another in a series of defiant steps Texas Governor Greg Abbott has taken in response to a historic rise in the number of people trying to enter the United States.
“At least two million are reported to have entered the country already this year, setting a new national record dating back 22 years,” the Daily Mail reports, and border states such as Texas have been bearing the brunt of the burden.
As American Wire has reported, Abbott has met the steady stream of immigrants with bus tickets to the “sanctuary” of New York City — a move that has driven NYC Mayor Eric Adams to fits.

To help cope with the crisis in the Lone Star State, Abbott deployed the Texas National Guard in March 2021.
Called “Operation Lone Star,” more than 10,000 troops have since amassed along the border.
Still, the feds allow the migrants to cross.
“Unbelievable,” Abbott said of Melugin’s video. “While Texas secures the border, the federal government is enabling illegal immigration. Biden’s open border policies caused this crisis. The federal government must do its job & fix it.”

According to Trump-era Custom and Border Protection (CBP) Commissioner Mark Morgan, the “Biden Administration has handed over operational control of our southern border to the cartels.”
“They have done this by purposefully dismantling every meaningful and effective border security measure in place,” he stated, according to Daily Mail.
Morgan does not mince words when it comes to Biden’s failed policies and the impact they have had on America.
“In just over 18 months Biden’s open border agenda, shepherded-in by it’s chief architect [DHS] Secretary [Alejandro] Mayorkas, has resulted in more than 4.9 million migrants illegally entering our southern border – 4 million encounters and nearing one million got aways who evaded apprehension,’ Morgan told DailyMail.com. “With more than three million now residing in the U.S., the Biden administration has added the equivalent of the entire population of the state South Carolina.”
“We’ve had 17 straight months of more than 150,000 apprehensions,” Morgan stated. “CBP has encountered more illegal aliens on the Terrorist Screening Data base this FY than the past 5 years combined. With more than 900,000+ known got-aways the reality is the next threat could already be in the U.S.”
