‘Unbelievable’: Mark Levin blasts Fox News legal analyst for throwing Trump to the leftist wolves

Fox News host Mark Levin angrily blasted Fox News legal analyst Andy McCarthy on Thursday for implying that former President Trump is toast after the left slapped him with a 37-count indictment that could put him away for life.

Democrats are charging that Trump violated national security and committed obstruction of justice over documents found at Mar-a-Lago. If he is convicted on all counts, he could get over 400 years in prison. If convicted of only one, it would be a life sentence since the former president is now 77 years old. The move is meant to prevent him from running for the presidency in 2024 and is seen by many as political persecution by the Biden administration. Trump has pleaded not guilty to all of the charges against him.

McCarthy offered his analysis of Trump’s case on Hugh Hewitt’s radio show Thursday. Hewitt asked McCarthy about the claim that Trump had declassified all the documents.

“First of all, I think if you do that under the Presidential Records Act, there should be a document supporting it. Otherwise, he’s got to have a witness that shows that he did it. I don’t think he has that, and I also think it’s irrelevant because it’s not a defense to these charges,” McCarthy responded.

Levin took severe issue with that assessment and slammed McCarthy for it on Twitter, “Well, then it must be true … apparently, we are told, Trump has no defense. He should hang it up. Accept over 100+ years in prison time, and get it over with. Unbelievable. I wonder what Rush would say about such ‘insight’ and ‘wisdom.'”

Mediaite attacked Levin over that statement in a post, asserting that he had gone after other Fox personalities in the past. None of the outlet’s smearing of Levin had anything to do with the indictment of Trump.

“It isn’t the first time Levin has taken aim at a fellow Fox News personality. In May of last year, he criticized Laura Ingraham for saying Trump made a ‘mistake’ by endorsing Mehmet Oz over David McCormick the Republican primary for U.S. Senate in Pennsylvania,” the leftist outlet reported.

“I’m a Pennsylvanian,” Levin said at the time and then referenced Ingraham. “10PM-er’s not a Pennsylvanian. But some people, because they have a camera in their face, actually think they know what’s best for you without actually inquiring into it.”

Mediate recounted that Levin said Ingraham “has a cork up her nose over this.”

“In March of last year, he claimed Fox News host Dana Perino ‘hates me’ because ‘she’s a Bush-y and I’m not,'” Mediate continued in its attempt to savage Levin.

“In June 2021, he ripped then-Fox News host Tucker Carlson without mentioning him by name. Levin reacted to a New York Times report stating that Carlson had been dishing dirt to the media about the inner workings at the network,” the outlet added. “That is a serious misunderstanding of one’s role, of loyalty, and character. Let me leave it at that.”

Those attacks aside, Levin is referring to constitutional law and the railroading of Trump. His justifiable anger doesn’t sit well with leftist reporting outlets.

Appearing on Hannity last week, Levin raged over the unjust indictment against Trump.

“President Trump is 76 years old,” Levin noted. “If the Department of Justice gets its way, he will die in federal prison. Just by one of these counts – conspiracy to obstruct justice, which has a 20-year maximum sentence. This is a disgusting, disgusting mark on American history, for the future to come by these bandits in the White House, by the Democrat Party. They don’t play fair anymore.”

“They want to take control of the country,” he continued. “They want one-party rule. And they have used the Department of Justice and the FBI to get what they want. Merrick Garland is a mob lawyer. That’s what he is. Jack Reed [sic] rogue, Soviet-style prosecutor.”

Levin didn’t hold back and he was just getting warmed up.

“This is a documents case!” Levin railed and asked, “Is this some kind of a sick joke on the American people?!”

“I don’t want to hear from the legal analysts, the technicalities about false statements and obstruction. This should never have been a criminal case! Willful retention of documents! Well, what’s the un-willful retention of documents mean? They’re throwing all these process crimes and all these crimes that grow out of the criminal investigation against Trump!” the legal analyst raged.

“What did he do with the documents? Did he sell them to the enemy? No! That’s why we have an Espionage Act, not to trip up a president. What did he do?! Did he burn them all?! No! The government has all the documents back! So there is no violation of the Presidential Records Act at this point! But they throw the book at him?!” Levin asserted.

He went on to slam Special Counsel Jack Smith and Attorney General Merrick Garland some more over the indictment, “He made the decision to indict the former president and they made the decision to interfere in this election! You wanna talk about an insurrection?! This! Is! An insurrection! And that’s exactly what’s going on here!”

“This is a disgusting mark in history by these bandits in the White House,” Levin concluded. “Joe Biden is the crookedest crook that has ever been in the oval office… What’s going on here is a disgusting disgrace and it is a war on Trump, a war on the Republican Party, and a war on the Republic.”
