A man on a diverted trans-Atlantic United Airlines flight lost it and was caught on video harassing flight attendants because his first choice for a meal was not available when he wanted it.
Berating airport staff even after the plane was forced to land in Chicago, the unnamed man had devolved into a fit of rage, telling flight attendants “F*** you!” and calling them “douches.” He also filmed a customer service manager, threatening him that he would wind up on Fox News over the incident in a further effort to bully the airline employee.
United Flight 20 had departed Houston, Texas, on a nine-and-a-half-hour flight heading to Amsterdam on July 9. It was diverted to O’Hare in Chicago and “landed safely following a passenger disturbance,” according to the airline.
Evidently, the man paid $1,000 extra for his ticket in business class. He was reportedly told that he couldn’t have his first course while the plane was still on the runway according to a person who filmed the altercation and then posted it to Reddit.

Fox viewer talks himself into getting arrested after getting kicked off an airplane for wanting his first class meal served while the plane was still taxiing. Apparently, if you “pay a 1000 dollars extra” the rules don’t apply to you.

Passengers are normally offered a full three-course meal in addition to more food throughout the flight, according to the Daily Mail.
The man continued to pitch a fit after the plane lifted off. He continued to rail for about two-and-a-half hours before everyone had had enough and pilots landed in Chicago so he could be removed.
Since the plane was full of enough fuel to get from Houston to Amsterdam, it could not land right away and had to circle O’Hare until enough fuel was burned off for it to safely land, according to data from FlightRadar24.
A witness aboard the flight claimed the man appeared to be intoxicated, according to aviation insider JonNYC on Twitter.

“I want your information and I want his information for the record, because I’ve been a United flyer for a long time, and I’m really, really disappointed,” the man raged.
The unhappy passenger went on to declare that it was important to stand up for one’s rights. He then snarked, “Oh, I just want to comply with everything,” before slinging obscenities and accusing employees of “virtue signaling” as he stood in the aisle.
He took his argument off the plane as well, arguing with United ground staff, while surrounded by police officers.
“I am a regular traveler like everybody else, but I decided because I have injuries that I’m going to take a nine-and-a-half hour flight to Amsterdam, and I’m going to pay the extra $1,000,” he told anyone who would listen. “And all I wanted to do was get a meal like everyone else.”

“You can take me wherever you want. Am I under arrest? What are you going to do? Who are you anyway?” he asked. “You’re an assistant manager of customer service at United? I would love for you to be on Fox News.”
“Maybe they would be interested to find out what it’s like to pay $1,000 extra per flight from the continental US to the Netherlands, for $1,000, except treated like sh*t and then booted off the plane,” the man angrily told staff who urged him to continue the conversation in a private room.
“Why do you think that one of your flight attendants is able to decide that I don’t get to be treated like everybody else?” he asked and then patted the police officer on the shoulder and told him twice, “I love you.”
He should be charged for the wasted fuel.

According to United, after refueling the plane continued on to Amsterdam without the man.
