Former NFL running back Marshawn Lynch was arrested in Las Vegas for suspicion of driving under the influence and had to be forcibly removed from his vehicle as he refused to cooperate with the officers on the scene.
Footage captured by the body cam of one of the officers on the scene was released and the former Seattle Seahawks player can be seen continually questioning the officers and refusing to cooperate with their commands. The officers are patient and respectful throughout, but it’s clear that Lynch has no intentions of going along with the program.
Lynch, who was famous for going “beast mode” on opponents with his performance while maintaining a reputation as a rebellious player, refused to exit his sports car and can be heard having a conversation with a female in the car questioning “what is the problem?” A cop then explained to Lynch that he’ll be charged with obstructing an investigation if he did not get out of the vehicle.

When he began questioning “what kind of obstructing” and rambling about everything being “understandable” while slurring his speech, the officers ran out of patience and one of them reached into the vehicle and physically pulled Lynch out taking him to the ground.
“Through the course of the investigation, officers determined that Lynch was impaired and conducted an arrest. Lynch was transported to the Las Vegas City Jail and booked for driving under the influence,” the Las Vegas Police Department said in a tweet.

Lynch, who has a previous DUI arrest from 2012 in Oakland, California, was also cited for a failure to refuse/surrender, a failure to drive in a travel lane, and the vehicle he was driving was not registered, according to police. Bail was set at $3,381.
