Sparks flew at Wednesday night’s third Republican presidential debate, with the nation’s first Millennial candidate for the White House scoring a snarky twofer against his political rivals.
As the nation teeters on the brink of World War III, the subject was foreign policy, and 38-year-old billionaire entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy didn’t hold back, landing a verbal blow to both former United Nations ambassador Nikki Haley and Florida Governor Ron DeSantis with just one jab.
“Do you want a leader from a different generation who is going to put this country first?” Ramaswamy asked, “Or do you want Dick Cheney in three-inch heels? In which case, we’ve got two of them onstage tonight.”
The choice should be clear: We can elect a president who will keep us out of World War III or we can elect a Dick Cheney in 3-inch heels. Because there are two of them on stage with me tonight. @RonDeSantis @NikkiHaley pic.twitter.com/i21U4tErmU

In case you missed it, DeSantis’s shoes have been the subject of numerous memes and punch lines lately, with his detractors suggesting he wears “hidden heels” in his cowboy boots.
“No, no, those are just standard off-the-rack, Lucchese,” DeSantis replied, naming a popular cowboy boot brand. pic.twitter.com/BwjMsP2VAn

With war raging between Israel and Hamas and Ukraine and Russia, Ramaswamy made clear that he would put America’s interests first.
“The founding vision of Israel was based on the idea that they don’t want to depend on anyone else’s sympathy or direction in defending themselves,” he said. “So what I would tell [Israeli Prime Minister] Bibi [Netanyahu] is that Israel has the right and the responsibility to defend itself. I would tell him to smoke those terrorists on his southern border, and then I’ll tell him, as president of the United States, I’ll be smoking the terrorists on our southern border.”
“That’s his responsibility,” Ramaswamy said. “This is our responsibility. That’s how we move forward.”
As BizPac Review has reported, thanks to the Biden administration’s refusal to address the migrant crisis in America, individuals on the terrorist watchlist have been crossing both our northern and southern borders in disturbing numbers — a fact made more concerning by the barbaric attack on Israel by Hamas.

“But I want to be careful to avoid making the mistakes from the neocon establishment of the past,” Ramaswamy continued. “Corrupt politicians in both parties spent trillions, killed millions, made billions for themselves in places like Iraq and Afghanistan fighting wars that sent thousands of our sons and daughters — people my age — to die in wars that did not advance anyone’s interests, adding seven trillion dollars to our national debt.”
“And Joe Biden sold off our foreign policy,” he stated. “Joe Biden’s son, Hunter Biden, got a five-million-dollar bribe from Ukraine. That’s why we’re sending two hundred billion dollars back to that same country.”
The Republican party, he stated, “is not much better.”
“You have the likes of Nikki Haley, who stepped down from her time at the UN. Bankrupt or in debt was her family,” Ramaswamy said. “Then she becomes a military contractor, she joins the board of Boeing and otherwise, and is now a multi-millionaire.”
“So, I think that’s wrong whether Republicans do it or Democrats do it,” he said. “That’s the choice we face. Do you want a leader from a different generation who is going to put this country first? Or do you want Dick Cheney in three-inch heels? In which case, we’ve got two of them onstage tonight.”
Moments later, Haley threw a snarky salvo of her own.
“I’d first like to say, they’re five-inch heels,” she said. “And I don’t wear them unless you can run in them. The second thing I’d like to say is, I wear heels. They’re not for a fashion statement, they’re for ammunition.”

She repeated the quip on X: “Vivek, I wear heels. They’re not for a fashion statement— they’re for ammunition.”

But the comeback didn’t have quite the impact she was hoping for.
“This makes even less sense than Nikki Haley’s foreign policy,” remarked Sean Davis, CEO and founder of The Federalist.
“so ur gonna shoot ur heels at brown kids in the middle east?” asked influencer and Babylon Bee contributor Ashley St. Clair.
“cringe,” wrote Catturd.
