Election Day in the United States is here, bringing reports of technological issues and speculation on who is going to be president for the next four years.
November 5 is bringing the end of a tumultuous election cycle. Two attempted assassinations, the incumbent president dropping out and a transparent media campaign to bolster the replacement candidate have done a number on struggling Americans fighting the effects of inflation and unchecked illegal immigration. But the day isn’t without some turmoil of its own.
First, oddsmakers are weighing in on what has proven to be an extremely close race. Trade company Kalshi, which is giving Americans the ability to bet on the election, has given former President Donald Trump a 57% chance of victory. Even Amber Rose has used the platform to bet on Trump’s success.
I never bet but this feels right. Who are you betting on? @Kalshi pic.twitter.com/C9tW9nCab5

But while things are looking up in the betting market, some Americans are having a difficult time casting their ballots.
News out of Cambria County, Pennsylvania indicates that voting machines were experiencing malfunctions. Voters were encouraged to stay in line and wait for the machines to come back online so they could cast their ballots.
To everyone in Cambria County, we are aware.
You stay in line like your lives depend on winning.
Don’t move a muscle.

Some reports indicate that issues may have been resolved, and voting hours extended to compensate for the inconvenience.
Please be aware that voting machines were down in Cambria County, PA, for a while. The county has obtained a court order allowing them to extend voting hours to compensate for the downtime.
As always, PLEASE be kind to your poll workers. They are members of your community pic.twitter.com/cPGIOR7dtr

And there was more good news with word that poll watchers will be allowed to watch what’s going on:

X users reacted to the technical problems:
Funny how this only ever happens in red counties.
Nothing to see here, folks.

Unfortunately this is going to happen all across America all day today. Stay in line.

Enough with these garbage machines. No election will be fair, safe and secure until we implement voter ID and paper ballots

I’d be more surprised if voting machines worked correctly at this point.
