‘Walmart is racist!’ Woman causes CRAZY scene in store, punches cop and calls him ‘white trash’

A plus-size woman had a meltdown in a Walmart and wound up wrestling with a very brave, determined police officer as she repeatedly screamed that the store was racist.

The woman, seen in a video that has since gone viral, was riding a motorized scooter until she lost it and stood up, trashing displays and everything she could get a hold of. When confronted by the state trooper, she went into a rage and punched him in the face.

The incident occurred at a Westchester County, New York Walmart according to WHAM. It is not clear who called the police, although it was probably management that did so.

“New York State Police told The National Desk (TND) the incident occurred on October 2 shortly after 6:30 p.m. in response to a 911 call by the Walmart store. Despite claims on social media, police say the incident did not involve shoplifting and the woman in question was experiencing ‘a mental health issue,'” WHAM reported.

The woman can be seen in a viral video that was taken last week, arguing with the state trooper at the self-checkout before getting into it with him.

It’s unclear exactly what the officer said to her, but her reply was crystal clear, “Yes, I did. Yes, I did,” which she stated over and over again.

She told the cop to “drag me the f*** out” several times as she threw a bottle of ginger ale and a bag of potato chips at the officer.

The unstable woman started destroying a snack shelf and then got up from her scooter and continued to destroy displays of merchandise in a fit of uncontrolled anger.

The officer had no choice but to try and stop the woman from destroying more merchandise and grabbed her by the shoulders to detain her. She then shoved the cop and punched him in the face, ripping off his glasses.

That was the last straw for the officer who then fought with the woman as she toppled a shelf of candy and magazines to the floor. He tackled her while a crowd gathered and watched in amusement, disgust, and fascination as the scene played out. Walmart employees tried to keep them back so the officer could detain the woman.

The cop was forced to actually get on top of the woman to control her. Her left shoe came off as she called him “F***ing white trash.”

Another officer, dressed in off-duty clothing, arrived on the scene and attempted to clean up the area around the cop who was trying to pin the woman.

“Take me to jail!” the woman screamed as he was trying to subdue her.

Eventually, the state trooper was able to handcuff the woman as she yelled, “Walmart is racist!” repeatedly. Handcuffing the large woman was not an easy task for the police officer.

After the cop handcuffed the woman, he turned her over. She continued to scream, “Walmart is f***ing racist!”

The woman was evidently taken for evaluation after the incident.

Walmart launched self-checkout options at its stores nationwide back in 2020 and since then, theft has skyrocketed. Incidents such as this one involving an unhinged individual are not uncommon either.

Doug McMillon, who is the company’s CEO and President, told CNBC in an interview in 2022 that “theft is higher than what it has historically been’ and there will be consequences if it is not corrected. ”

“While we don’t discuss details related to illegal activity in our stores, we’re continually exploring effective ways to protect merchandise, keep prices low, and provide a safe environment for the millions of customers we serve weekly,” a Walmart spokesperson told Business Insider.
