WH drags CNN reporter’s kids into savage shaming after Oval Office clash with Trump

The White House brutally scolded a CNN reporter who angered President Donald J. Trump during a Monday exchange by dragging her children into it.

During the press gaggle in the Oval Office where the president was hosting a heroic teen lifeguard who saved the life of a ten-year-old boy by rescuing him from a rip current on a California beach last month, Trump took exception with CNN’s Kristen Holmes, who was shouting questions at him.

Holmes was specifically trying to get Trump to comment on his surprise scaling back of military exercises with South Korea and praise for North Korean dictator Kim Jong-un, whom he called “unthreatening and respectful.”

“Quiet. Quiet. Quiet. You’re very disrespectful in front of this young man, okay?” Trump said. “Don’t you find her disrespectful? He understands. Quiet. Who are you with?”

“I’m with CNN,” she replied.

“Fake news. You’re fake news. You’re loud. You’re a loud, boisterous person. You’re fake news,” the president shot back. “Be quiet, be quiet, be quiet. You’re a fake reporter, and you report fake news.”

The CNN reporter had earlier asked the president to comment on remarks by Sen. John Ossoff (D-Ga.) about his close relationship with aide Natalie Harp, the young blonde hottie whom he is practically inseparable from.

After Trump’s latest beatdown of the press, the White House’s official Rapid Response 47 X account kicked it up a notch.

“@KristenhCNN is a disgraceful, humiliating embarrassment to her alleged profession. @POTUS hosts a hero lifeguard in the Oval Office and she uses it as an opportunity to take a cheap shot about one of President Trump’s staffers,” the account wrote, sharing a video of the White House spat. “These scumbags are the lowest of the low.”

Then, to further shame Holmes, the account unleashed a highly personal attack that suggested that one day her own children will be ashamed of her.

“Someday, your children will come across your disgusting and inhumane question. They will be sickened and embarrassed to have a parent be so callous and vindictive. It’s quite troubling,” the account wrote on Monday.

CNN defended its reporter in a statement.

“Kristen Holmes is one of the most respected and accomplished journalists covering the White House,” the network wrote. “This afternoon, she did her job and asked the President of the United States a tough, relevant, and newsworthy question on behalf of the American people.”

“Public officials are free to challenge reporting they disagree with, but personal attacks on journalists for asking questions are beneath the office and inconsistent with the principles of a free press. We stand firmly behind Kristen and reject these attacks in the strongest possible terms,” CNN added.
