The White House has quietly taken down a Tetris-themed video game in which users could construct a border wall using falling bricks that was similar to the beloved arcade classic.
Last week, the “Build the Wall” game along with other MAGA friendly video games was posted to a new website to promote President Donald J. Trump’s policies, one of which is cracking down on illegal immigration at the southern border.
Other games include “Flappy Bird” which features the flying of a bald eagle down the National Mall and “Rio Run” which allowed users to patrol the border along the Rio Grande with Border Czar Tom Homan. Users can also play a game filling up Trump Accounts.

The attempt to promote the president’s agenda in a fun way drew the predictable squeals of outrage from Democrats, the media and leftists but also a strong reaction from the company that created Tetris which accused the administration of copyright infringement.

“At Tetris we believe in the power of connection and bringing people together, not dividing them,” the Tetris Company said in a statement. “To our fans everywhere: we love you, we see you and we’re grateful to have you in our community.”
“The Tetris Company was not involved in the creation of ‘Build the Wall,'” the company wrote in the September 4 post to X. “We take copyright infringement very seriously.”
NBC News first reported the removal of the Tetris-themed game on Wednesday.
“The White House removed the MAGA-themed game “Build the Wall” from its website this week after Tetris Co. issued a statement online mentioning copyright infringement,” according to the outlet which included a link to a previous version of the website via the Wayback Machine.
When the games were first unveiled, the Associated Press described them as “a collection of five low-resolution video games that promote different aspects of President Donald Trump’s agenda.”
“’Build the Wall’ is a ‘Tetris’ knockoff that transforms the classic game into an effort to ‘Protect the border from the coming horde.’ In ‘Rio Run,’ which resembles the mobile favorite ‘Snake,’ an icon resembling Trump runs around gathering potential border crossers,” the outlet reported.
“In ‘Supply Line,’ which looks like a condensed version of the arcade game ‘Tapper,’ food moves along an assembly line and you must reject items that don’t meet ‘Make America Healthy Again’ standards,” according to AP.
“Build the Wall” is no longer included on the White House’s MAGA game website. The rest of the games are still available as of early Thursday morning,

“The White House did not immediately respond to NBC News’ requests for comment on the game’s removal. Tetris Co. declined to comment,” NBC News reported.
“This administration is laser focused on ways to innovate and tell the story of the president’s many accomplishments in a way that resonates with every American,” a White House official explained to Fox News Digital after the games were first launched.
