‘What is wrong with you?’ Ilhan Omar blasts Biden, Dems over Israel support in bizarre fit of rage

U.S. Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) delivered a rage-fueled rant on Friday, blasting President Biden and the “scary” Democrat leadership for failing to “save” the Americans who are stuck in Gaza while working to get those stranded in Israel or taken hostage by Hamas freed.

With fellow “Squad” members by her side, Omar made the remarks at a press conference held outside the U.S. Capitol during which they called for a ceasefire in the brutal war.

She said she is “saddened by the fact that 525 members of Congress could come together in one breath, fully condemn the horrors of what Israelis experience, and that there is now only maybe few handful of them who could get to the point of saying, ‘We condemn the slaughter of Palestinian children, of mothers, of fathers, of grandmothers, of grandfathers.'”

“Where is your humanity?” she demanded to know. “How do you look at one atrocity and say, ‘This is wrong,’ but you watch as bodies pile up, as neighborhoods are leveled?”

Omar claimed that, in the last 10 days, Israel has dropped more bombs on Gaza than Americans dropped in Afghanistan “in a whole year.”

“Where is your humanity?” she asked. “Where is your outrage? Where is your care for people?”

“What is wrong with you? How is this possible?” she asked. “Wait, so [are] certain Americans’ lives [more] important than another? Is the American that is living in Gaza less important than the one living in Israel? How is it that you’re telling American citizens to go to the south of Gaza, but you can’t tell Netanyahu not to bomb the south because there are Americans there?”

Omar went on to say she doesn’t feel safe in her “space.”

“I want to say how insane and painful and scary it is to work and serve in a space where we have a member in our caucus say, ‘All Muslims are responsible for this,’ and not a single condemnation comes from our caucus leadership or any member of Congress,” she fumed.

It is unclear to whom Omar was referring, but, according to Fox News Digital, “progressive Rep. Ritchie Torres, D-N.Y., had taken aim at members of the ‘Squad’ last week over what he called a “reprehensible and repulsive” response to the Oct. 7 Hamas attack.”

“How is it — how is it that we are serving in a body, serving in a body where there are members who condemn us for asking for a peace, for ceasefire, the most simplest thing?” Omar continued.

She described the trauma she experienced as a child who “survived war.”

“I am 41 years old,” she said. To this day, my bed, the side I sleep on, is right next to the wall because that trauma has not left me.”

“I am not fine with war,” she stated. “I am not fine with weapons being sent to kill children like the ones I played with. I am not fine with that.”

“So, yes,” she said, “you can threaten me. You can harass me. You can follow me around.  But I am never going to stop saying, Palestinians deserve freedom, that we need to free Palestine. And I am never going to stop saying that there is no way that we should allow in sending more bombardments to kill Palestinians.”

On X, few were moved by Omar’s passionate rant.

“I would take @IlhanMN more serious had she been screaming for the same ceasefire for Ukraine,” one user wrote. “The Squad has supported every package sent with no end in site.”

“They don’t deserve the seats they have in Congress,” another said of the Squad. “They are anti-Semitic and anti-American and they support terrorism.”

“She’s a propagandist,” stated a third. “Seems more like a foreign agent every day.”
