Pope Francis likely didn’t win any new Democrat fans when he released his highly-anticipated denouncement of radical “gender theory” and the child sex change surgeries that the Biden administration has defended.
In a declaration released on Monday by the Vatican’s Doctrine Office, the pontiff condemned the transgender ideology which is lodestar of the modern American left, a sanctified set of twisted principles that have come to dominate national politics, especially at the White House.
The 20-page document called gender theory “extremely dangerous” and said that it tries “to deny the greatest possible difference that exists between living beings: sexual difference,” essentially defying God.
Asked for her comments on the Pope’s “Infinite Dignity” declaration, the regime’s black lesbian spokesperson Karine Jean-Pierre was careful not to be overly critical of the world’s most prominent religious leader because the last thing that her boss needs is another falling out with an international leader this week.
“We are pleased to see that the document… furthered the Vatican’s call to ensure that LGBTQ+ are protected from violence and imprisonment around the world. However, the president will continue to be an advocate for the rights, safety and dignity of the LGBTQ+ community, including transgender people here in the U.S.,” she responded when asked about the Pope’s document by a reporter.
“What about the more specific comments about gender theory and transgender individuals?” Jean-Pierre was asked in a follow-up.
“I’m going to be really careful. The president’s role to litigate internal Church policy, that’s not his role, so I’m gonna be super careful there,” she said, according to Fox News. “But I can speak to the president’s stance, and he’s always been very clear on the importance of protecting or having protections for the transgender community and the broader LGBTQ+ community, and that’s been very clear since day one of his administration.”
“Regarding gender theory, whose scientific coherence is the subject of considerable debate among experts, the Church recalls that human life in all its dimensions, both physical and spiritual, is a gift from God,” according to the document.
“This gift is to be accepted with gratitude and placed at the service of the good. Desiring a personal self-determination, as gender theory prescribes, apart from this fundamental truth that human life is a gift, amounts to a concession to the age-old temptation to make oneself God, entering into competition with the true God of love revealed to us in the Gospel,” the document states.
“Another prominent aspect of gender theory is that it intends to deny the greatest possible difference that exists between living beings: sexual difference. This foundational difference is not only the greatest imaginable difference but is also the most beautiful and most powerful of them. In the male-female couple, this difference achieves the most marvelous of reciprocities. It thus becomes the source of that miracle that never ceases to surprise us: the arrival of new human beings in the world,” according to the document.
Biden, an allegedly “devout Catholic” found himself at the center of a firestorm last week over his proclamation to mark Transgender Day of Visibility on Easter Sunday, the holiest day of the year for Christians, in an act that was condemned as blasphemous for a White House that has frequently championed transvestites and advocated for genital mutilation surgery for kids.
Pope Francis has previously spoken about gender theory.
“Gender ideology, today, is one of the most dangerous ideological colonizations,” he said last year in remarks translated and reported by the Catholic News Agency.
