President Joe Biden and the White House were raked over the coals for a series of tone-deaf tweets revealing their twisted priorities while the world burns around them.
Amid the horrifying images coming from Israel following the surprise attack by Hamas on the nation, the president took hours to make a public comment about the atrocities being perpetrated against innocent people – including Americans – in the region. But soon, it was back to business as usual as the POTUS and the White House social media accounts posted about topics no one currently cared about.
“Junk fees can add up to hundreds of dollars for working families,” the White House tweeted, referring to the push to pass the bill addressing “unfair charges by hotels, airlines, cable and internet companies, and online ticket sellers.”
Junk fees can add up to hundreds of dollars for working families.
President Biden continues to call on Congress to pass the Junk Fee Prevention Act to stop unfair charges by hotels, airlines, cable and internet companies, and online ticket sellers.

The backlash was swift – and brutal:
Terrorists are holding Americans hostage in Gaza right now… and your priority is concert tickets?
— Christina Pushaw (@ChristinaPushaw) October 9, 2023
Over 800 innocent people were murdered in Israel including Americans. Terrorists took dozens of hostages including Americans. And you’re worried right now about baggage fees?

Junk fees are the issue that’s on the forefront of everyone’s mind, thank you so much for giving this your complete and undivided attention
Thank god there’s nothing else going on in the world

Evidently, junk fees were not the only urgent fees the administration wanted to focus on.

While Americans are among those taken hostage or killed in Israel by Hamas terrorists, there were no press briefings by the president’s press secretary and the Biden White House called a lid before noon on Monday. But Team Biden was sure to get the message out about jobs in more tweets on the POTUS account.
That also did not go over well, and rightly so.
The occupant of the Oval Office is a disgrace.
A picnic last night, a lid at noon today and no comment on murdered Americans, Americans held hostage, or Hamas threatening to behead those hostages.
Instead, we get this from his press secretary/intern. #WeHaveNoPresident https://t.co/p6UxmwGqbu

“They are on autopilot,” criticized Stephen Miller.
Americans have died and have been kidnapped abroad. You are so flipping tone deaf. https://t.co/VTKghnJf3M

The level of tone-deafness is beyond comprehension. It really HAS to be intentional.
No one could accidentally be THIS bad at their job. Not even Biden’s clown car.

And they just kept coming:
“Oh thank god” – the Americans being held hostage by Hamas right nowhttps://t.co/5wRriIgBxi

Turn off the scheduled tweets and make a statement about the 9 Americans killed and countless others held hostage.
— Abigail Jackson (@abigailmarone) October 9, 2023
Absolute insanity. Scheduled tweets filled with lies, while Americans have been murdered and taken hostage in Israel. And you’ve called a LID?? This is our reality now. pic.twitter.com/4JF4Efeqae
