White House spox lashes out after Biden’s deceased son Beau is mentioned in family crime investigation

White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre lashed out at the top House Oversight Committee Republican over remarks about President Biden’s deceased son Beau who passed away from brain cancer in 2015.

Left-wing media pounced on the comments made by Rep. James Comer who chairs the powerful committee that has drawn a bead on the president’s other son Hunter Biden who is the subject of unfolding investigations by the new GOP House majority, a clear effort to shift public opinion against the Kentucky Republican after the Daily Beast kicked off the outrage campaign.

During his recent appearance on former Fox Business host Lou Dobbs’ podcast, Comer lamented the slow progress of United States Attorney for the District of Delaware David Weiss who has been investigating the Biden family, at one point invoking the name of Beau Biden and alleged improprieties over campaign donations.

Jean-Pierre was served up her opportunity to attack Comer by Daily Beast reporter Zachary Petrizzo during Wednesday’s daily press briefing when he asked her for her input on the publication’s big scoop, with her reply only serving to amplify the outlet’s reportage.

“I’m wondering if the White House has a response to Chairman Comer invoking Beau Biden and whether the president thinks it’s potentially, if the president thinks it’s potentially, appropriate that Mr. Comer investigate his deceased son?” Petrizzo asked Biden’s top spox.

“No, it’s completely inappropriate and it’s ugly, the comments that he made,” Jean-Pierre responded. “And it says a lot about the chairman, which is not good, by the way. To make the statement that he did is incredibly ugly and inappropriate.”

“And here’s what I would say. Instead of House Republicans focusing on attacking the president, his family, why don’t they actually focus on what the American people put them in office to do,” she added, leaning into the contrived narrative, “which is to deliver for them, which is to actually work with their colleagues, the Democratic colleagues, the president, to actually put forth pieces of legislation or put forth policies that’s going to make a difference in their lives.”

“And, you know, you don’t have to listen to me. You can look at the results from the midterms that said just that. They want to see, they want to see Congress working for them. That’s what they want to see. They want to make sure that their Medicare is protected. They want to make sure that we’re lowering costs. They want to make sure that their family feels protected. They want to make sure that their rights are protected. But that’s not what House Republicans are doing. Instead, they want to do political stunts,” Jean-Pierre concluded, capping off her own political stunt.

In their proper context, Rep. Comer’s Beau Biden remarks are hardly the outrageous defamation of a deceased saint that the Daily Beast and the network of leftist operatives have portrayed them as but rather a matter-of-fact statement made in reference to the untangling of the complicated web of the Biden crime family.

“This U.S. attorney had had an opportunity to go after the Bidens years ago,” the congressman said on Dobbs’ podcast. “In fact, it was Beau Biden, the president’s other son, that was involved in some campaign donations from a person that got indicted, as well as Joe Biden was involved in some of these campaign donations when he was a senator, and then when he ran for president against Obama.”

“But nothing ever happened,” he continued. “So I don’t know much about this U.S. attorney other than he’s had an opportunity to investigate the Bidens before and he chose not to. We all know that he’s just been silent for a long time.”

The Democrat counteroffensive to the investigations of the dealings of the Bidens by the Republican-led house is in full swing, months after it was reported that a shadowy network of dark money groups was “gearing up” war rooms to gaslight the American people by manipulating the narrative to defend the first family against legitimate oversight from GOP lawmakers.

According to one of those groups, Facts First USA, “Lacking a forward-looking agenda, the new MAGA-Majority in the House of Representatives will spend the next two years aggressively investigating President Biden, members of the Administration, and the President’s family. They will do so without regard to facts, without concern for fairness, and without limitation.”

“They seek to grind down the entire executive branch and to engage in political theatre and character assassination that distracts from real issues, creates a false perception of corruption, runs up legal bills, and threatens the livelihoods of those caught in their web of lies,” the group states on its website.

Despite the Daily Beast and Jean-Pierre’s faux moral preening, Comer and fellow Oversight Republicans aren’t just kicking a dead man for their personal enjoyment.
