‘White rural voters’ are now a threat to democracy; new racist narrative pushes trashing of Whites

As polls continue to show a resurgent former President Donald J. Trump potentially winning the November election, the regime and its propagandists are going scorched earth against half of the electorate.

Earlier this week, MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” welcomed two guests who were promoting their new book accusing white rural voters who are primarily Trump supporters of being racist xenophobes who hate gay people and are a threat to democracy.

Joining the crew were Tom Schaller and Paul Waldman whose newly released “White Rural Rage: The Threat to American Democracy” is a look into the mindset of the elitists to whom maintaining the hold on political power is so precious that they would dehumanize tens of millions of Americans to do so.

“We lay out the fourfold interconnected threat that white rural voters pose to the country,” Schaller, who cites numerous cherry-picked polls to back up his theory, told Mika Brzezinski. “They’re the most racist, xenophobic, anti-immigrant and anti-gay, geodemographic group in the country.”

“Second, they’re the most conspiracist group. QAnon support and subscribers, election denialism, COVID denialism and scientific skepticism, Obama birtherism,” he continued. “Third, anti-democratic sentiments. They don’t believe in an independent press, free speech. They’re most likely to say the president should be able to act unilaterally without any checks from Congress, or the courts or the bureaucracy,” Schaller said, rattling off the traits of the modern Democratic Party only transferring them to Trump voters.

“They’re also the most strongly white nationalist and white Christian nationalist,” he added.

“And fourth, they’re most likely to excuse or justify violence as an acceptable alternative to peaceful public discourse,” he said, again describing the leftist shock troops of the ruling party who have repeatedly demonstrated their inclination for political violence which has been implicitly sanctioned by the media.

So this is where we are at now, the idea that Americans who would exercise their God-given rights by voting for the candidate of their choice are an “existential threat” to the nation, or more specifically, the rogue deep state that has hijacked the government and its tentacles and supplanted longtime rules and principles with “our democracy,” an Orwellian term that cloaks the malevolence of the regime.

According to the Amazon description of the hateful tome: “Tom Schaller and Paul Waldman explore why rural Whites have failed to reap the benefits from their outsize political power and why, as a result, they are the most likely group to abandon democratic norms and traditions. Their rage—stoked daily by Republican politicians and the conservative media—now poses an existential threat to the United States.”

“Schaller and Waldman show how vulnerable U.S. democracy has become to rural Whites who, despite legitimate grievances, are increasingly inclined to hold racist and xenophobic beliefs, to believe in conspiracy theories, to accept violence as a legitimate course of political action, and to exhibit antidemocratic tendencies,” the description reads. “Rural White Americans’ attitude might best be described as ‘I love my country, but not our country,’ Schaller and Waldman argue.
