Whoopi wants Knicks to visit White House, hopes it will remind America of slavery

The harpies on “The View” are beside themselves that the New York Knicks are breaking recent precedent and will visit the White House to be honored by President Donald Trump — the Knicks will be the first NBA champions in the largely left-of-center league to make the trip while Trump has been in office.

It doesn’t hurt that Trump and Knicks owner James Dolan are longtime friends, with Dolan even getting married at Mar-a-Lago. The president sat courtside in Dolan’s suite at Madison Square Garden for Game 3, as New York made its championship run.

Whoopi Goldberg said this week that she actually wants the team to visit the White House to remind America of slavery — as seen with Vice President JD Vance’s ill-advised appearance on the show this week, the cohosts of “The View” take exception to the Trump administration removing the progressive left characterization of U.S. history across federal agencies, national parks, and museums. “I want them to go. I want all those black men to stand in our house and remind all of those people, as we tried to remind the Vice President, that when you try to destroy one part of history, you’re destroying all of our histories,” Goldberg said.

Trump signed an executive order known as “Restoring Truth and Sanity to American History,” which calls on federally funded museums, monuments, and educational sites to remove historical frameworks that are divisive, anti-American, or disparaging to past Americans.

“And they, as champions — not only as amazing basketball players, but as people who were down and came back up — this is what this looks like,” she continued. “This is what this looks like. So, I want them to go. I want them to go. If only, so the kids know, that nobody — nobody — can keep you down if you are rising up. That’s what I want!”

Of course, the federal government is not trying to keep minorities down. This is an age-old Democratic ploy to divide America, using fearmongering to capture votes.

The bigger question, as seen on social media, may be how in the world is “The View” still being aired?

Here’s a quick sampling of responses to the story, as seen on X:
