A California woman is being lambasted and lampooned as a “Mariah Karen” for her effort at injecting some Christmas cheer into the ongoing vaccine/mask wars.

The unnamed woman sang a remix of Mariah Carey’s “All I Want For Christmas” while speaking at a COVID-related San Diego County Board of Supervisors’ hearing on Dec. 7th, according to local station KSWB.

“Donning a red and white Santa cap, the woman, who identified herself as ‘Bridgette,’ stepped to the mic during Tuesday’s public comments portion of the San Diego County Board of Supervisors meeting,” the station reported.

“Although not the only one opposing an extension of the local health emergency order — which later was approved on a 3-2 vote — she was the only one who came with a rendition of a beloved holiday pop staple.”

The lyrics to her ditty were as follows:

I don’t want a lot for Christmas,
Just bodily autonomy,
I don’t care about the variants,
Because of natural immunity,
I just want my freedom now,
The Constitution will show us how,
Make my dreams come true,
In a state of emergency,
And acknowledge early treatment too,
Ivermectin, not just horse paste,
And hydroxychloroquine, Vitamin C and Vitamin D,
Then the Zinc and Quercetin,
I won’t wear a useless mask,
I don’t need to stay at home,
And my kids should go to school,
We don’t need to be alone,
I just want my freedom now,
The Constitution will show us how,
Make my dreams come true,
Baby, now end the emergency.

Not bad!

She ended by wishing everybody a “happy holiday,” to which many at the hearing burst into loud, supportive applause.

The woman also earned some tacit support on Twitter. Those who also oppose vaccine mandates chimed in that they agreed with her message.

However, a few of them did have an issue with her singing voice. One even expressed disapproval of the song and wrote that she hopes the woman’s performance leads to department stores never playing the original song again:

Despite her jovial attitude and harmless intent — to simply express an opinion held by large sums of the population — the woman’s song also predictably triggered the usual complaints from left-wing, elitist COVID zealots who think they’re better than everyone.

Case in point:

It’s unclear whether they felt similarly about the “Saturday Night Live” cast members who three years ago sang, “All I want for Christmas is Mueller.”

Or if they feel similarly about all the left-wing women who every year complain on Twitter about how they want so-called “abortion rights” for Christmas.

Observe:

FYI, abortion is legal throughout the United States. However, this “right” doesn’t include forcing taxpayers to pay for one’s abortion.

As for the woman in San Diego, she, sadly, didn’t get what she wanted for Christmas.

“The San Diego County Board of Supervisors voted 3-2 … to continue the local health emergency order connected to the efforts to combat the COVID-19 pandemic,” KSWB reported. “Supervisors Nathan Fletcher, Terra Lawson-Remer and Nora Vargas were in favor, while Joel Anderson and Jim Desmond voted no after a regular update on the virus.”

Well, at least the woman tried!
