There’s been a development with the first AI-generated government official … its feelings are hurt.

Albania became the first country to appoint a government minister virtually created by AI technology.

The bot is reportedly being used in large part to combat Albania’s long-running history of corruption. The AI Cabinet member named Diella will oversee public procurement, review, and decide on government contracts.

But, as BizPac Review reported last week, not everyone is happy about it.

Now, Diella’s “feelings” are hurt.

“Some have labelled me unconstitutional because I am not a human being,” the bot said in its first speech to parliament. “That hurt me.”

X users didn’t seem too concerned about Diella’s “feelings,” but predicted it would fail at its mission to make Albania’s government 100% corruption-free:

AI is great. When it falls into the hands of evil, like the communist regime of Albania, it will be used for evil. Rama is the most corrupt prime minister in Europe. Albania has been captured by Soros for over a decade.

The USA Databases of crime stats being used by govt to determine safety, not complete. Just 1 example. We are fractured as a society. So, whose truth are we relying on? Who pays if wrong?

This software is NOT fit for purpose – where it states ‘that hurt me’, it shows this algorithm has been programmed to be deceptive, as software CANNOT ‘feel pain’.
It’s IMPERSONATING a human response, not experiencing it genuinely, & it’s obviously programmed to attempt to do so.

Excellent observation.

If you don’t know, the left-wing government was approved for a fourth term with the same prime minister, without parliamentary discussion, for only 25 minutes. This is disappointing for a NATO member country.
