‘You can shut your piehole:’ Bongino schools those whining about chaotic speaker race

“Unfiltered” host Dan Bongino slammed the “garbage narrative” coming from leftists mocking the drawn-out, historic, and contentious process of Republicans choosing Kevin McCarthy as Speaker of the House and instead called it a “glorious day” for America.

It took 15 ballots for McCarthy to finally be handed the gavel early Saturday morning but it is a done deal now. And it was done in a manner that the Founding Fathers would have reveled in despite heated debate, name-calling, and threats. Bongino sees the process as nothing short of truly American.

“We got to a conclusion. It took a couple of days. We got some of what we wanted. The more moderate wing got some of what they wanted. We’ve got a Speaker and the business of the House will continue,” Bongino proclaimed on “Fox & Friends Weekend.”

“It is a glorious day for the Republic. Everyone should celebrate it today. There’s no reason to hide your head in shame. That’s a left-wing media garbage narrative. It was a glorious week and I enjoyed every second of it,” he declared.

The 20 Republicans who stood against McCarthy until they got sufficient concessions from him were battered from both sides of the political aisle.

Liberal pundit Victor Shi called the battle among Republicans “utter chaos.”

“Kevin McCarthy just lost his bid to be Speaker AGAIN with at least 5 House Republicans voting against him so far. If Republicans can’t even nominate a Speaker, how will they pass any substantial legislation? This is utter chaos and a complete embarrassment,” he tweeted.

Congressman Dan Crenshaw (R-Texas) basically called the group opposing McCarthy, terrorists. Bongino called him out for it and other Republicans who were wringing their hands during the process.

“To the crowd out there that was whining and moaning and wetting their diapers about, ‘Oh, my gosh, it’s chaos,’ What a clown show. You can shut your pie hole. … This is a Constitutional Republic. It’s not North Korea. We don’t go with Kim Jong-un behind closed doors and beat the crap out of people. What we do is we negotiate,” he posited.

“You could have watched your elected representatives in a Constitutional Republic hash out their differences in front of the entire world. It was a glorious thing to watch, and I have never been prouder of our country,” Bongino commented.

He contended that the “real clown show” was the Democrats who in lock-step consistently voted 212 in favor of Rep. Hakeem Jeffries (NY) whom many consider a Marxist.

Bongino gave effusive praise to the “uniquely entrepreneurial” Republicans who sought to negotiate and get concessions rather than huddle together like a bunch of sheep.

“For all these people [who say] ‘Oh the Democrats, they always stick together, and we don’t.’ Good… I’m not a damn automaton. I’m a conservative Republican,” Bongino asserted. “And conservative Republicans are uniquely entrepreneurial. They believe in liberty and freedom and we don’t all think alike.”
