One of the best parts of going to a baseball game is getting the chance to catch a stray ball lobbed into the stands, but one kid just couldn’t wait that long.
A viral clip showing a wee LA Dodgers fan’s over-zealous catch has stolen hearts across social media. Particularly of note is the adorable “oops” face the child makes while trying to figure out what to do next!

While most audience members catch balls that are already out of bounds, you can see here the young boy leans over the wall to catch a ball that is very clearly still in play. It doesn’t take long for him and everyone in the audience to realize that he probably shouldn’t have done that.
Fear not, though, the Dodgers still stomped the Oakland Athletics 10-1, so this passionate play did not alter the outcome of the game.
It was a fantastic catch, though, and it would come as no surprise if this young fan goes on to play ball himself as he grows up.
