The political world erupted on Monday as word broke that Fox News host Tucker Carlson and the network were suddenly and unexpectedly parting ways.
The development was shocking given that Carlson is arguably Fox News’ biggest draw. He follows Dan Bongino out the door at the network in a move that has many viewers furious.

“FOX News Media and Tucker Carlson have agreed to part ways,” Fox News commented in a statement. “We thank him for his service to the network as a host and prior to that as a contributor.”
Immediately, Carlson’s fans started hitting out at Fox News in what looks to be exceedingly bad PR for the network.
The initial reaction to the development was disbelief and shock. It should also be noted that within an hour after Carlson left the network, CNN fired host Don Lemon. The two events are not connected but they both contributed to the media blood in the water.

TheBlaze has already invited Carlson on board its network, with Glenn Beck, a former Fox News host himself, personally extending an invite. It remains to be seen what comes next.

Reactions are pouring in as Carlson was beloved by many, and after the shock wore off there was plenty of celebration over the possibilities that may accompany a free Tucker Carlson no longer constrained by network politics and policy.
There’s even talk of a 2024 run for president, as seen by Christopher Rufo — and he wasn’t alone!
Tucker Carlson is the best of the best and consistently put in extra time to cultivate new talent on the Right. He's always downplayed the possibility of running for president, but that's an open possibility now. If he stays in media, I'm excited to see what he does next.

“Could we end up with a Glenn Beck / Tucker Carlson & Company network?” Sheri on Twitter asked.

Here are more responses that suggest that Carlson may be better off without Fox News, beginning with someone who would know — Megyn Kelly:
Good for Tucker. Trust me, he doesn’t need them. https://t.co/NjFqqsIV4q

The best decision I ever made was leaving Fox. Good for you, @TuckerCarlson. You’re free & uncensored! pic.twitter.com/ZsUwnGAZ7M

Tucker Carlson will be fine. Fox News will not be fine. That's the difference. Fox needed Tucker more than he needed Fox.

Wherever Tucker Carlson goes, America will follow!
Thank you for being one of the greatest and most powerful voices in the conservative movement.
Can’t wait to see what’s next!
