NFL quarterback and COVID jab critic Aaron Rodgers spiked the ball on his critics with a glorious takedown of Dr. Anthony S. Fauci, branding him as an “absolute criminal” for refusing to testify before Congress.
The elfin former National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) chief was set to be grilled by Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) and his GOP colleagues last week over his role in the response to the virus. But instead of being honest, Fauci invoked his Fifth Amendment rights more than a hundred times even though he was the recipient of a sweeping and retroactive pardon from outgoing President Joe Biden.
Rodgers eviscerated the retired bureaucrat during an appearance on Monday’s edition of “The Pat McAfee Show,” taking a break from Pittsburgh Steelers training camp to chat with the ESPN personality who brought up Fauci’s disappointing showing at the Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee hearing.

“Can you tell us about your mindset coming into your last season?” McAfee asked the Super Bowl-winning gunslinger who has announced that he’s hanging up his cleats after the 2026 season.
“I’m gonna plead the Fifth,” Rodgers responded, before unloading on the retired government official. “Like that absolute coward Tony Fauci. Absolute coward. Are you kidding me? You got a pardon, and you pleaded over 100 times … What are you scared of, Tony?”
“I thought you were the science. ‘I am science,’ and you get up there and can’t answer a question? What are we doing?” Rodgers continued, referring to Fauci’s arrogant proclamation that he was “the science” during an interview in 2021.
“Spending the entire time writing in his diary about how fun it is to be famous. You gotta be kidding me,” the four-time NFL MVP told McAfee. “What are you going to say about me now? Seriously, what are they going to say about me now? Now, you can’t talk about the COVID stuff because obviously it was made in a lab in China. That’s like not even questionable anymore. Tony Fauci is an absolute criminal.”
The future Hall of Famer was vilified by leftists and the media during the pandemic over his criticism of the COVID vaccines, surviving efforts to cancel his career, and is now with the Steelers, his third team as he caps off what has been a stellar career.
Rodgers also ripped the media, which savaged him over his stance on the vaccines, including McAfee’s network.
“And how much time did the network spend … on my responses every week, on my vaccination status, on Taylor and Travis’s wedding?” Rodgers asked, referring to the Kansas City Chiefs’ celebrity love couple who recently tied the knot. “Did they do even a minute on Tony Fauci? Nah, I bet they didn’t.”
“I thought you had a pardon there, Tony. Why couldn’t you answer one question the entire time?” Rodgers said, jabbing Fauci yet again.
Rodgers will be reunited with his former Green Bay Packers coach Mike McCarthy this season in Steeltown for the grand finale to his 22-year career, which kicks off at Acrisure Stadium on September 13 against the visiting Atlanta Falcons.
