Another Hollywood star exposed her Trump Derangement Syndrome in an insult to “white ladies” who voted for the president.
Elizabeth Banks, who openly supported then-Vice President Kamala Harris in the 2024 election, admitted she is confused by women who voted for President Donald Trump instead, saying in Bustle’s “One Nightstand” podcast that women should become “revolutionaries” against the “fascist regime.”
“Effie for me is one of the characters that has the greatest arc that I’ve ever played because obviously she props up this fascist regime that she benefits from and it’s not until she really comes to care for and see how unfair it is when they want to pull Katniss and Peta into the games again…” Banks said, referring to her “Hunger Games” character Effie Trinket.

“I think in ‘Catching Fire’ when she’s like, ‘I want to be part of this team,’ and you really see her struggling and then by the end she’s like a revolutionary… I wish more of us were becoming revolutionaries!” Banks added.
“Effie is the model, guys! I don’t understand the 53% of white ladies that didn’t vote for Kamala,” bemoaned the actress, who has played Effie in all four of “The Hunger Games” films.
Banks joined Harris on the campaign trail for the Reproductive Freedom Bus in Las Vegas, as she advocated for abortion access.
“Our rights, our freedom, and our access to health care are literally at stake. Please please please check your registration status and make a plan for Election Day. 19 days! Let’s go!” she wrote in a social media post ahead of the event.
Responding to Banks’ remarks in the recent podcast, White House spokesman Davis Ingle was blunt.
“Nobody in their right mind cares what out-of-touch woke celebrities in Hollywood say or think,” he said in a statement to Fox News Digital.
Actor Rob Schneider had a message for his fellow actor.
“Dear Elizabeth Banks,” he wrote in a post on X. “Calling someone who disagrees with your political views ‘Fascist’ is the same dangerous rhetoric (and lies) that got our friend Charlie Kirk murdered.”
Dear Elizabeth Banks,
Calling someone who disagrees with your political views ‘Fascist’ is the same dangerous rhetoric (and lies) that got our friend Charlie Kirk murdered.

Others on social media also reacted to Banks’ glaring ignorance.

Does she not know voting for Kamala was like voting for the ones in power in Hunger Games
The revolutionaries did the right thing

Yes. More people should be following the example of a fictional character in a pre teen novel.

This is pretty hilarious because under actual fascism Elizabeth Banks would be imprisoned for saying this.
The fact that she will be lauded by her peers is a strong indication that we, in fact, do not live under fascism.
