Black and Somali students came to blows at a Minneapolis high school in a potentially “racially motivated” brawl that spilled out of the hallway and into the parking lot.
According to Crime Watch Minneapolis, “We were sent videos of a series of fights that broke out at St. Louis Park HS on Thursday.”
“At least two adults were arrested, and the district canceled classes for Friday,” the outlet reported on X. “We’re told the fights were racially motivated, and the school is investigating that angle, also.”

The video depicted a scene of brutal chaos.
A “personal beef” allegedly led to Sanaiah Milon getting punched to the floor where she was savagely kicked by dozens of students.
Months before the disturbing brawl, Milon told KARE 11 that she had argued with a Somali student.
“After the previous encounter, Sanaiah said the school intervened, talking through the issues with a counselor and administrator,” KARE 11 reports. “But on Thursday, Sanaiah said other students informed her she was going to get ‘jumped.'”
“And I got punched. And I got punched again from the other side. Then one student grabbed me by the neck and she tossed me and we were on the floor. And it was just kicks, punches,” Milon said. “In my head, it felt like it was going on forever. Like, I was just scared.”

Milon was pulled away by a teacher, who closed a door to the hallway. After the fight fizzled out, classes resumed, but the drama was far from over.
Milon’s mom, Latoys Milon, and her older daughter, Abreeha Annalisa Smith, 22, arrived after school and the fight picked up in the parking lot.
“All I was thinking is getting to my daughter,” Latoys told KARE 11. “She needs help. She needs somebody.”
According to St. Louis police, the mother-daughter duo were “primarily responsible” for the altercation outside the school, the Daily Mail reports.
“Latoys, who had an active warrant for theft of services, was arrested and released in less than five hours,” according to the outlet. “Smith, the second individual taken into custody, was found to have an active felony warrant for aiding and abetting theft and two other ongoing cases related to theft.”

“Now the way they’re trying to make it look like we’re the bad guys,” Latoys Milon told KARE 11.
She denied claims that the fight was racially motivated.
“It had nothing to do with race,” she said. “I had nothing to do with anything. It was just trying to get to my daughter to make sure she’s OK.”
All high school classes were canceled on Friday to “provide school administration sufficient time to conduct a thorough investigation, collaborate with St. Louis Park police on their investigation, and for staff to gather and plan for additional layers of safety for next week,” a school district spokesperson told KARE 11.

Meanwhile, Sanaiah Milon says she won’t be returning to St. Louis Park High School. She no longer feels safe there, she told KARE 11.
“Not after what happened yesterday,” the bruised and swollen teen stated.
