Air Force Major arrested on Capitol steps while protesting President Trump

A deranged Air Force Major was arrested at the Capitol on Wednesday after he protested against President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance in an area where protesting is prohibited.

Initially accompanied by Rep. Al Green, a Democrat, Major Jason Watson first legally protested in front of the Capitol and even delivered a psychotic speech.

Watch:

“When the President of the United States orders military action against foreign countries absent an emergency scenario where American interests are under imminent dire threat, as was done with Venezuela, Cuba, and Iran, that’s an unconstitutional usurpation of Congress’s authority and a violation of the War Powers Clause,” he said.

“These violations resulted in the deaths of 13 service members and injuries of hundreds more. For this, the President and Vice President must be impeached, convicted, and removed,” he added.

His rant continued for eight or so lengthy minutes.

“When the President of the United States grants an unelected mega donor sweeping authority, he’s shut down large swaths of our federal government, along with unrestricted access to our government databases,” he kvetched, presumably referencing former DOGE boss Elon Musk.

“That’s an unconstitutional circumvention of Congress’s Advice and Consent Authority under the Appointments Clause and Congress’s power of the purse under the Appropriations Clause. These violations expose every American’s personal sensitive data to leaks and exploitation,” he added.

After he delivered the speech alongside Democrats like Green, the Democrats left, but he stayed in violation of policy, going so far as to stand on the Capitol’s steps while holding up an anti-Trump sign.

He was arrested as a crowd of lunatic leftists jeered at the Capitol Police, i.e., the same police leftists purported to care so much about after the one-day Jan. 6 riot. Recall that the far more violent Black Lives Matter riots lasted months.

John Bonifaz, the president and co-founder of the very fake and very left-wing so-called Free Speech for People organization, praised Watson’s stunt.

“Major Watson demonstrated today the kind of courage our democracy demands,” Bonifaz said in a statement to Mediaite. “He honored the same oath that every Member of Congress has taken—to support and defend the Constitution.”

“His willingness to risk his own freedom stands in stark contrast to those who continue to look away as President Trump commits unprecedented abuses of power. Congress has both the authority and the constitutional obligation to act to impeach and remove Donald Trump from public office,” Bonifaz added.

While Free Speech for People purports to be impartial, its X social media account is full of leftist talking points and agitprop, making it indistinguishable from the social media account of virtually any Democrat politician:

Rep. Green also praised Wason.

“He stood for the impeachment of a president on the Capitol grounds, and thereafter he walked up the steps where he was arrested,” the congressman said in a video statement published to social media. “This is the kind of courage necessary to inspire others.”

Green famously filed impeachment papers against President Trump in 2025, saying at the time that the president is “an abuser of presidential power who, if left in office, will continue to promote violence, engender invidious hate, undermine our democracy, and dissolve our Republic.”
