Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani has advice for the next leader of the Big Apple.
Giuliani didn’t earn the nickname “America’s Mayor” by being a loser who doesn’t know what it takes to lead a place like NYC to success. Now, he’s offering a brutal piece of advice to Democratic Socialist Zohran Mamdani, according to the New York Post.
“My advice to him is to step down and do something else,” he told the outlet, dubbing the newly-elected mayor “Communist — right out of Karl Marx.”
Giuliani made it clear that he doesn’t think Mamdani is the right man for the job, no matter what the left-leaning voters of the city think. He blasted the young socialist as a “supporter of Muslim extremism” for palling around with the likes of Imam Suraj Wahhaj, a man who had previously encouraged a gun-free “jihad” on NYC.
“The imam he was with is a strong supporter of terrorism,” Giuliani pointed out, referring to a photo posted by Mamdani that shows the two men smiling. “I’m not worried that he’s a Muslim. I’m worried that he supports Muslim extremism.”
He mused about the implications of Mamdani receiving a security clearance, given his ties to questionable characters.
“You think the federal government will give this guy a security clearance?” the former mayor asked. “Zohran Mamdani is a serious security threat to the United States of America. He’s a Communist and a sympathizer for Muslim terrorism.”
He also pointed out that the freshly elected mayor has an “obsession” with Israel, specifically with hating the country.
“Israel seems like an obsession with him. The BDS movement wants to wipe out the state of Israel. Mamdani is one of the best-known antisemites in the country,” Giuliani accused.
Given that nothing can change Mamdani’s election, and it’s incredibly unlikely that he’s going to “step down” like “America’s Mayor” advised, Giuliani offered another piece of advice: “Love America.”
